F1 23 for PC

Hi, I am wanting to buy F1 23 on PC to avoid the monthly fees to utilise network capabilities.  Will my Dell Inspiron 15 5510 with onboard graphics (Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics run the F1 23 game?

I dont need amazing graphics, just want it to run smoothly with good controller response.  I have heaps of HDD space for it.

Thanks

I think it is safe to say that any on-board graphics either won't be supported or won't give any satisfying result, these are the minimum requirements to run the game:

    Windows minimum requirements

    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version 21H1 or higher)
    • Processor(AMD): AMD FX 4300 | For VR: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
    • Processor(Intel): Intel Core i3-2130 | For VR: Intel Core i5-9600k
    • Memory: 8GB
    • Graphics Card(AMD): AMD RX 470 | For Ray Tracing: Radeon RX 6700 XT | For VR: AMD RX 590 | Driver 23.2.1
    • Graphics Card(Nvidia): NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti | For Ray Tracing: GeForce RTX 2060 | For VR: NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti | Driver 522.25
    • Direct X: 12
    • Online Connection Requirements: Broadband
    • Hard Drive Space: 80GB
  • You would literally be better off buying it on console.. the game is 100% a console PORT and hardly caters for the PC gamer at all.

No mouse support.. oftentimes on PC the menu only gives you which buttons to press as if you were using a controller.. so instead of pressing F1 for example it will tell you to press square. (Has been like this for years as it seems no one at EA / Codies knows what a mouse even is).

That’s simply not true. I‘m playing with a Fanatex wheel on PC and the game says which (wheel-)button to press. Not Square or similar.

Maybe configure your input devices correctly?

@AnthonyLee59 the game can be used perfectly on a PC (apart from the awkward menu structure, but that is the same on all platforms) and the correct buttons are also displayed.

The fact that you can't control the game with a mouse doesn't mean that it's not usable on the PC, since most people play with a controller or steering wheel anyway.

Running a Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel with McLaren steering wheel and I like to configure the buttons how I like to play NOT how the game thinks I want to. Regardless of that it still tells me in one session to press different buttons to the last session. One day its one thing and the next day it's another thing without me changing configuration. Has been the same way for the last 4 or 5 generations of this game.
