F1 23 Fully resets everything every time the game launches

Having an issue with F1 23 whenever I launch the game. Every single time the game starts I have to go through all of the EA license agreements and agree to them all again before I can even hit the main menu. After this, I checked my settings and all my configurations for simulation settings, difficulties, wheel/controller configs etc. are all back to the default. I even recently started a MyTeam save which I had only finished the Bahrain race and that save just does not exist now that I have opened the game the day after.

Has anyone encountered this issue before and have any idea what a fix would be?

    Hey @WeeksyHD

That's weird. In which platform are you playing? If you're on PC, do you have any antivirus or firewall that might be deleting your files?

    Hey,

Yes, I am on PC. I just have standard Windows Firewall and no other 3rd party application/antivirus/firewall.

Please check you do not have Controlled Folder Access enabled.

Does the game access online services correctly?

Also are you EA or Steam please?

Is Steam and the game installed to C: drive and running on metal? Ie you are not using a VM?

@SteveJackson Steam is installed on my C: Drive but my game is installed on a different drive and yes I am not using a VM and running the game on my base system.

Would be interesting if you installed the game to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and the problem went away.

I can’t help but feel this is an issue with either AV or the install path (both should be feasible/possible) but you won’t know for sure until you try either/both scenarios.
