    Hey racers,

    We've been working closely with our partners at Logitech on the implementation of TrueForce, extra buttons, and RPM lights in order to support these features on the Xbox platform. Unfortunately, support for these features will not be available in F1®23 for compatible Logitech wheels.


    We know that these are highly requested features and the team is working towards making these features available in our future games.

Does it have at least a temporary solution? Im on ps4 and I have no ffb it juste a reentering of the wheel. My brother have a g29 and can feel everything and I juste have a reentering of the wheel. Is it only me? because on f1 22 everything works fine. but on f1 23 nothing really accurate. Is there a way to ignore true force to just have normal ffb?

Logitech changed the basic G29 to make an XB version (G920)

Logitech made the G923 which replaced the older models and can be bought in either variant (XB/PS)

It's always a joint effort - Logitech get IHV builds of F1 games prior to release. They build the SDK and release the driver for PC.

If CM can't get a feature to work it's not always because of their devs. Logitech aren't exactly heavily resourced in this area both now and historically. But blame EA, it's easy.

The Trueforce implementation was reverted to code without it, because the implementation didn't work. F1 2021, F1 22 and F1 23 have never been on the support list officially.

    @SteveJackson Genuine question (and not sarcasm) - as TrueForce was enabled but not fully functional before patch 1.05, what would be the reason behind it? In the testing phase of the game is this not picked up, or are they running a kanban-style "we have faith Logitech will provide us a solution just in time for launch" way of working?

    I don't know, the devs don't communicate directly with the Champions. There is a (mostly) one-way referral of information via the EA community liaison and then to CM.

    IIRC, it was causing more issues than it was helping but I don't have the full picture. I have contacted Logitech previously when the CM forums were active. I just use the G pedals because I like them more than the CSL-E LC pedalset. There has been a lot of issues with the Logitech drivers over the various iterations of the game.

    The older G25/27 drivers were simpler, with issues.

    LGS was brought in but the G25/27 still worked with the older drivers. LGS had a fair few issues (I could only ever get it to work well with a permanent profile).

    LGS was deprecated and GHub is a one stop for the Logitech kit now, the G923 and the Pro only work with it. It's been unstable or with lots of workarounds to keep it stable, but fixes were slow. 

    As far as testing goes, I expect QA is just fuzz testing and the beta test is the testing. But we never get a full version of the game to test. Usually when all the content is updated and added in, issues arise. I can only maintain that CM give Logitech pre-release builds of the game and updates during the patch cycle ahead of public.

    That doesn't really answer my question. I am not blaming anyone! I just want to know if there's a way on ps4 to have a genuily good felling on f1 23 with a G923 or I am screw and I need to accept the fact that the game is just not playable.

    All the technical specification doesn't really interest me. I just want to know if there's a way to enjoy the game with a G923 and have an interesting ffb.

    If there's nothing I can do its fine because nothing will change. I just want to know.

    Vibration & Force Feedback Strength: 150
    On Track Effects: 10
    Rumble Strip Effects: 25
    Off Track Effects: 40
    Wheel Damper: 70
    Maximum Wheel Rotation (F1 & F2): 360°

    Steering Rate: 160%
    Steering Deadzone: 1

    Console users should ensure they update the wheel on a PC. Use GHub.

    G29 has no update AFAIK

    G920 does 

    G923 does I think. 

    PC users should also update and use the latest GHub before posting back. 

    Sometimes other games being installed may lead to issues with the wheel driver on PC only.

    Sharing settings amongst other wheel users can be helpful. 

    High FFB levels generally lead to ‘clipping’ and not a very good experience. Usual advice is to be realistic about the kind of torque the motor can produce. 

    The default in game settings were never very nice for me but I admit I haven’t tried a Logitech wheel on the game for about 3 iterations now.

    Most people seemed to reduce the steering angle slightly (or DOR) to around 270-330 or played with saturation and linearity. 

    I still use the pedals but with the brake spring in the clutch and a Leo Bodnar cable. 

    I'm happy with the Fanatec. They have a forum and recommended settings for the game with wheel and in game recommendations.

    I am honestly shocked and disgusted that it has been 4 months and 28 days since the game has been released and my Logitech G923 STILL has no force feedback. I haven't even opened the game for about 2 months and thought by now it would've worked but surprisingly, absolutely nothing again like every other time I've opened the game. Absolutely pathetic from everyone involved in this game.

    Are you on Xbox or PS5? If you're on Xbox, go back in 5his thread and look for my post about how to fix the issues with the G923.. I've been told by many people that it fixed it for them. Worth a shot at this point for ya. I feel for ya..

    I mean that the issue is not on the list for further investigation.

    Logitech Trueforce support was withdrawn. All supported Logitech wheels are on the list. You should use GHub to update the wheel if you are on console, and GHub as the driver if you are on PC.

    Co-existence of certain games or older drivers are not supported. Please read the thread for fixes or workarounds.

    For consoles, snooze / rest mode is not advisable, update your console software to current. Please feel free to report new, replicable issues with sufficient detail.
