I understand that they are the slowest cars on the grid, but their top speed is not limited by their drag profile but their gear ratios instead. For those who play career mode, all the drag upgrades will have no effect on increasing the top speed for these cars, due to the fact these three cars have a limited top speed due to the gear ratio. The mclaren is also Mercedes powered but is able to reach 360kph (9kph more than all other Mercedes powered cars) without hitting its gear ratio which is why I believe this to be a mistake on the other three mercedes powered cars.

I did a Grand Prix in Las Vegas, just to see what it was like and chose the Mercedes.I'm literally getting slaughtered on the straights with Overtake on and DRS open and I also find the Mercedes powered cars are way too high pitched, same with Alpine

@ScarDuck14 This issue is nothing to do with the power of the engine but the fact that the engine has hit its rev limit so even if I upgrade in the RnD when using one of these 3 cars the cars top speed will NOT improve.

That's a huge difference. Hopefully it's patched soon.

@C4RB0N1T3I started a career with Aston Martin and at Baku I barely had any upgrades and I was topping out at 218MPH (350-351KPH). I’m at Monza and I have a few upgrades . To be exact two Minor and one Major upgrades for Engine Power (3 total) along with one Minor and one Major Drag Reduction (2 total) and my top speed didn’t improve. I’m still rev limited at 218MPH (350-351KPH)

@C4RB0N1T3 The three cars you’ve selected as being slower are Mercedes, Aston Martin and Williams. All powered by a Mercedes power-train. Which is third slowest Engine.

Ferrari is highest at 94 Then Red Bull 91, Mercedes 89 Alpine 86 I think.

Then all cars have different aero packages some have more downforce others have less drag and finally all cars have different chassis upgrades which reduces weight therefore help increase acceleration and top speed. Not all cars have the same top speed.

Best way to find out what cars have what performance upgrades is in career or myteam

I have just tested the brakingpoint and my team and each of these cars share the same issue. For the my team car this will only appear when using the Mercedes which has a rev limit of 351 kph. All other engines have a rev limit of 366kph meaning once significant progression has been made into a career save, all mercedes powered cars, except mclaren, will have a severe top speed deficit (15kph), which all other cars will not have, whist having similar drag and power values.

@NShort44 Main reason for getting slaughtered is due to this mistake in the gear ratio's for the Mercedes powered cars (excluding McLaren). If you drive the McLaren, the high pitch of the engine noise does not seem to be as bad due to the rev limiter being set for 366kph not 351kph. I do agree that the alpine engine does sound rather peculiar though.

@Gizmo_of_Arabia Was that in career or a standard race? The fact that the AI are able to easily hit the rev limiter is a massive issue. Can only imagine how bad the problem will get when being a couple seasons into a career save and the cars have many drag and engine power upgrades. I'd assume that they will be able to hit their top speed without the need for DRS.
