If the last few years are anything to go by, the Champion Edition will be digital only, and you’ll only be able to buy the standard edition in disc form. You can then purchase the Champion Edition content as DLC

Not sure you meant the part in bold? The standard edition is currently available for pre-order in digital form so this statement definitely isn't true.
I expect you're correct re. the Champions Edition though.
@Ultrasonic_77Yes to clarify, for anyone who wants to own a physical disc version of the game, the only option is the Standard Edition. The Champion Edition is digital only, so you can't get a physical version with the Verstappen cover
