the video is from a slightly older game version but the bug is exactly the same and has been present and unplayable since day 1. making an £80 game useless!

Post a dxdiag as unexpected crashing can be hardware.

hello thanks for the reply, iv attached the txt file of my dxdiag report, as mentioned though i have tried playing the game on other hardware being my partners pc and also her gaming laptop and still get the exact same results with no deviation or difference.

So you're using the same account on the other machines? Might be a save / progress issue.

Are you running in 4K on a 2080Super? The video you uploaded appears to be. Try a lower resolution in-game. There are updates for your board (if identified correctly).

Also the AA (DLSS) might also be a factor. Try without (TAA) and using the user settings (lower resolution).

But I'll wait for the confirmation of mainboard.

my board is the gaming edge wifi.

in regards the the resolution i have it set to 1440p it must be that nvidia recorded in 4k (what my tv is) (have also tried with nvidia overlay turned off)

i tried running on lowest settings and no dlss and same result.

Also in regard to the other machines i'm not sure if its a save issue i even tried unlinking my ea and steam accounts from each other and re linking them and that made no difference. with this game even if i bought it on steam am i still supposed to see it in my ea library like other ea games iv bought from steam, eg assassin creed or need for speed?

With the F1 titles, EA and Steam are separate platforms. It may change at some point for future releases but not at this time. Crossplay is required for EA app to play Steam players in MP. Achievements, progress and purchases are not transferable or visible.

It is just such an odd bug that i'm having and looking online over the last couple of months iv only seen one other person who was possible having the same issue but there was never a fix mentioned if they did find one, i feel its hard to really understand whats happening without it happening yourself, everytime iv spoken to EA help its always a dead end with the standard we'll pass it on and well get back to you but no one ever gets back to me and they just close my tickets which sucks because of how much i paid, and i couldn't even get a refund from steam because id played the campaign for 3 hours before finding this issue.

Remove (disconnect) Pentablet for troubleshooting.

Update G435 firmware (should have been offered via GHUb?) The Lightspeed or BT connections will be a potential source of issues from gameplay errors to latency to crashes. All you can do is update. Disconnect the Oculus for troubleshooting.

i have sorted the other issues but don't want to do the bios at the moment because my area is prone to power cuts and the last thing i want is to brick my computer, and i don't feel like its worth risking when it most likely isn't a hardware issue because it happens on other machines so i feel it may be account related.

if you have any advise it would be appreciated.

The BIOS is likely to have a bearing or I wouldn’t advise it. 

Updated uCode ensures your CPU can execute code correctly. Updated chipset information ensures your machine can run cores effectively. Peversely, the newer your hardware, the more likely it is to receive such updates as it matures.

i understand your concern about risk. 

Many newer machines have Dual BIOS or Flashback recovery. The time taken to flash a BIOS is less than two minutes. It’s accepted that it will be necessary to update your mainboard during its lifecycle. 

You should consider a UPS if your outages are frequent, allowing you emergency provision for shutdown.
