Can you please enlighten us what the reasoning behind the removal/lack of interest of fixing this bug that has been present since F1 22?
Because frankly, this active decision to remove the DRS status light on the steering wheel* (*according to ea_rephii) makes absolutely zero sense.
Just because this issue was present (and a bug) in F1 22, doesn't mean it is less of a bug in F1 23.
Please consider fixing this as it is very difficult to know the DRS status of the F2 cars while driving using minimal hud, cockpit camera and/or using a VR headset.
Why remove such a vital part and absolutely ruin the experience of the F2 cars?
I feel that rephii might have either been misinformed or misinterpreted information provided to them, and would be great if we could bring some clarity into this matter.
Codemasters TeamHi @dotazured - our vehicle team reviewed the F2 race footage and were unable to find instances where the DRS indicators on the steering wheels lit up, so the decision was taken to leave these disabled on the F2 vehicles for authenticity. This would mean that if you are playing in cockpit camera with the HUD disabled then you would only receive the audio beep notifying you when entering the active DRS zone.
If you think this is incorrect, or if you would like us to make the case that we should include the DRS indicators anyway, then please let us know. Thanks, Hoo.
