Hey folks, thank you so much for your patience on this issue.
Late last week, Thrustmaster issued a firmware update to address the Force Feedback issues persisting on their devices. This also addresses the problem when pressing 'Alt+Tab' in F1® 23.
It's incredible after a year still not solving this bug...
Give me back my dollars!
This is an unhelpful bump to the topic. Most T300 users have function provided they have updated the wheelbase and/or rim in the case of the SF1000.
PC users with loss of FFB on ALT-TAB should refrain from ALT-TABbing (sort out overlays, fullscreen, second screen). Occasional hot-plugging of the wheel is a workaround (still not acceptable really).
This issue is between Thrustmaster and CM to sort out, but I can tell you I had pleasure in selling my overrated TM hardware as I found their TS stonewalled my issue; the only offer was a hardware service that would have rendered keeping the kit unviable. TM's position is it is fixed - they really don't want to know. I owned a T300 and a TS-PC, it's a shame really as I loved the Ferrari F1 rim, it's got lots of fake buttons and the shifter switches are unreliable until replaced with 3rd party equivalents. I had to argue a motor replacement for the T300 under warranty, I replaced the always on fan with a better one....my 10c.
On my side the loss of FFB after a ALT-TAB is solved with the latest PC Driver [Package 1.TTRS.2024] available since last week:
**GENERAL NOTES** # About the Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition, the Ferrari 488 GT3 Wheel Add-On and the other future wheels: == These wheels are now shown as a GENERIC ROUND WHEEL in the CONTROL PANEL. This change is only visual in the Control Panel and no incidence in games. This change is visible using the TX / T300 / TS-PC / TS-XW / T-GT / T-GT II bases on PC. # About F1 22 - PC: == It is recommended to disconnect your other USB gaming devices (such as USB shifter, USB handbrake, USB gamepad, etc.) in order to avoid any conflicts with USB wheels and/or USB pedal sets. == If you are using the old Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On simultaneously with a T-LCM Pedals set connected via USB, you must select NORMAL Mode (and not ADVANCED MODE) in the Thrustmaster Control Panel. You can select ADVANCED MODE only if the T-LCM Pedals set is connected directly to the Thrustmaster wheel base with the RJ12 cable. # About the old FERRARI F1 racing wheel: == On PC, the Ferrari F1 racing wheel is recognized and appears onscreen under the name Thrustmaster T-GT Racing Wheel or TS-XW RACER (USB) or TS-PC RACER or Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing Wheel, Thrustmaster TX Racing wheel, or Thrustmaster T300 RS Racing Wheel. This is the "Normal Mode", offering 13 action buttons + D-Pad (in this mode, the D-Pads, shifters and L3/R3 buttons are combined). In this mode, the 2 rotary encoders emulate the D-Pad's 4 main directions. They can therefore be used to alter a car's settings (engines, tires, fairing, etc.). To use them, if required, access your game's Control options and alter them as required. == On PC (only), the racing wheel can be configured in "Advanced Mode" to offer 25 action buttons + 1 D-Pad (in this mode, the 2 rotary encoders, 2 D-Pads, 4 shifters and 4 L3/R3 buttons are configured individually). To do so, in the Control Panel, select the Advanced Mode option. The racing wheel appears onscreen under the name Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced T-GT or Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced TS-XW Racer or Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced TS-PC Racer or Ferrari F1 wheel Integral T500 or Ferrari F1 wheel Advanced TX or Ferrari F1 wheel Advanced T300. # General comments: - For most games: in the OPTIONS/CONTROLS/FORCE FEEDBACK settings, Force Feedback effects must be set to "POSITIVE = + Values" or "NON-REVERSED".
@FisherSnake BIB: I was telling you that, but it worked with v11 firmware and not with v13. v12 and v13 only added SF1000 compatibility but it did so at the expense of Advanced mode for the TS-PC with a USB connected pedalset, not even just the T-LCM!
I had occasional problem of FFB on a T150 but a pause always solved the issue when it appears... until recently. I didn't play for month now I come back and have no FFB at all any time and I don't alt-tab.
How can I consider buying F1 2024 ? That's a joke...
