Formation Lap Multiplayer: DSQ in formation lap DSQs you from the entire race

Summarize your bug When the host ist spectator, getting disqualified from the formation lap disqualifies you from the race for reversing off start line.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? HXCD-EDAK-RTKB-BHJE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Telekom
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Host a lobby as a spectator with formation lap enabled. Let a player overshoot the start box or get disqualified by crashing into another driver.
What happens when the bug occurs? The players who got disqualified from the formation lap get disqualified from the race aswell.
What do you expect to see? The players who got disqualified from the formation lap can drive the race normally.

It only happens when the lobby host is a spectator. No problems with host as a driver.

    @Matzespin it also happens when a driver is the host.

    Who was the host in your races? In my race it was a Playstation 5 player

    @zombie182 I was the host myself, and in our league we are all playing on PC via Steam.
    In our tests, we only encoutered the bug when a spectator was hosting with 100% success rate of reproducing, never when a driver was hosting. Not in the previous patch and not in this one either.

    Although multiple drivers were disqualified, everyone was able to race, no DSQs from the race. Host was one of the drivers. Crossplay enabled. With the current patch installed.

    Maybe it becomes a general problem when multiple platforms are involved in the race. But I guess that requires some more testing then.

    can confirm this has happened, but its not just for the host. top guy in our league, who wasn't the host, qualified pole, missed his grid slot and got immediately disqualified for "reversing off the start line". it's also happened in another league if i recall correctly.

    Same issue here on Xbox just seems to be the last person that gets DSQ on the grid before the race which then gets them DSQ as soon as the main race starts.

    Doesn’t seem t matter if host is driver or spectator on Xbox. In the case below the host was a driver.

    @CM_RedDevil is this being looked into? Can’t see it on the updates page.

    Well after a long time working it now also happened with us when we had our league race in Qatar. A driver was host, and disqualified cars in the formation lap were also DSQ'd in the race. Every player was playing via Steam. So not even everyone playing on the same platform prevents this.
