How strict is this?

Hello, I'd need help.

I know that corners cut is on Strict with ranked, but this is like crazy.

My left tyres where on the inside here. Anybody here can make me understand? Is it actually the real rules or just the game being extremely strict? Because I feel like trajectories are not the same anymore and I have to re-learn all again (and I was learning, hence the trajectory help), and I'm not the only one saying this.

See near the end. https://youtu.be/2gXbEVkzAaw

But in answer to changing your racing line. In some corners possibly. With corners set to regular you get used to not getting penalised so you’ll tend to take the line off least resistance. It’s not long until it’s muscle memory. So when strict is active, what you thought was your natural line is exceeding limits.

Happens all the time in F1. Drivers will do the same on any corner they can get away with. Then at some point they tighten up track limits to stop drivers exploiting corners cutting

@reon0890I wouldn't be surprised if a third-person replay showed that the left tyres were JUST over the white line. It's hard to judge that level of precision from the cockpit cam when you're right on the edge of the track boundary.

I don't know guys, it really feels like it's too much strict while regular is not regular.

Brazil is the same, Qatar, even Monza. You can clearly race on the white line in Monza and is absolutely regular while on F1 23 ranked you barely touch the curb while staying with the tyres on the road and get a penalty. Honestly, from the video it's clear that left tyres are waaay on the road. And it's not consistent. On some corners you can cut more without penalty. It's very confusing. Anyways, thanks.

@reon0890 a chase cam POV or aerial shot would be the ones to clearly show whether that was an off track or not. Can you post it?

I've had many instances like this when I first got into this franchise. One I'll never forget is that uphill right hander at Barcelona, T9 or so. I'd be fuming, convinced that I had taken it properly, just to have a rearview cam shame me with what clearly was an off track from that angle. I was struggling with snap oversteer on corner exit and that's what would throw me off without my noticing it.
