You've posted this as a solution so the moderators now think this is the answer to the problem when it isn't!! cause i've seen you've posted recently a few posts back saying you're still getting issues after updating...

The moderators don't think this is the answer.
It is repeated advice that you should update the firmware ANYWAY, it is a manufacturer resource. Because there are updates and each update brings functional improvement, you should update.
On PC, drivers are BOTH the interface AND the update mechanism.
Only a fool would not update, because chances are there may well be another issue that isn't if the firmware was updated. On console, the message is repeated because any wheel update will probably never get past MS or Sony patch submission because it materially changes hardware function (for the better).
