Summarize your bug in night races the fps goes really low and unstable aswell as blurry graphics, the same tracks are good during the day
What is your 16 digit Report Code? VRECCKSCGCETRASE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? tele2
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go into any night/dawn races in f1 23
What happens when the bug occurs? fps drops and low/blurry grapgics
What do you expect to see? higher and more stable frame rates and crisper graphics without a thick blue fog/smoke over the track at night races
I've noticed that in night races such as qatar, bahrain, saudi, vegas etc. fps is really low, and no its not bc its new tracks since at the same tracks but in sunlight i have upwards to 140-170 fps while it drops to an unstable 50-70fps with blurry graohics and almost a thick blue smoke hovering over the track at night. aswell as the floodlights looking almost distorted and glitchy. And i've tried going from ultra high settings (which i ran in f1 22 at a stable 110fps) down to very low and even then its unstable 60-70fps. Such a shame since im a big fan of pretty much all the night races but these things make them almost unplayable. seems like all these new lightning systems has improved fps stability in the sun but drastically worsened it in the night.
this is on a pc with a :
gtx geforce 1070 8gb dual, intel i5 10600kf @ 4.10GHz and 16gb RAM.
Please EA and Codies atleast look into this, i've heard many people with even more powerful pc's than me with the same issues. Any help is appreciated!
I have submitted 2 files which are screenshots from my career race in bahrain before the sun goes down and the second one is when the sun has gone down, this always happens on lap 8. As you see it goes down in the middle of turn 10 and after that its stays like that for the whole race. The 2 screenshots are exactly 11 seconds apart. The fps in the first one is around 160 up to 170, as for the second one tho it drops down to an unstable 80fps which sometimes go down to 30-40, which caught me out the first time causing me too lock up and go straight on, thats a skill issue tho. But the fps shouldn't drop by pretty much 90 fps in the middle of a corner. This is obviously a optimization issue where you must have completely forgot to optimize the game once it turns to night

I was getting bad frames in time trial on my 165hz monitor. What is your in game framerate set to? Mine was set to my monitor(165hz) and I was getting less than 60fps. but after changing it to "auto" my fps shot back up to normal, 120+. Would like to know if this helps.

Just noting to anyone coming to this thread later, this isn't a fix for the poor performance in night time races, seems to be for something else.
Races and time trial during night still have a massive FPS drop, even on high-end hardware. I have the same amount of FPS on maximum settings or lowest settings during night races so it doesn't seem to be any of the settings available to us causing the issue.
