Summarize your bug When turning, edges of surfaces "smear or ghost" horribly across the screen. SOmetime it looks like I have 4 antenna on the front of the car. Trees are especially bad.. they are sometimes Opaque and you can see building (white buildings) through them ..very distracting.
What is your 16 digit Report Code? N/A
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? N/A
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use the same hardware as me I guess...

What do you expect to see? None of the above... I have a "high end" system AMDRyzen 7 5800X3D / AMD RX 7900XT GPU and should not have such poor graphics.

Even sitting in the garage and the guy in front of the car moves it looks like he becomes the "FLASH" when he moves as he leaves a trail / smear when he moves.

  • had the same issue. with TAA+sharpening i have this if i follow a car. my antenna has ghosting with white shadow around it and i can see this in the black part of the car in front. also the rpm leds with same issue. it looks like the display panel cant change from black to white fast enough.

with DLSS the issue will go away and the white ghosting traces not there, but all cars have a black ghosting around the rear wings, black ghosting shadows on the difusor and it looks weird.

i had the same issue with F1 22 and in all other sims this issue is not existing. i use a 4080 and a g9 samsung with g-synch locked to 120.

if anybody can help, this will be cool

had trouble shoot this days after days. with and without g-synch, fps limiter, different nvidia driver settings and ingame settings. the problem still going.

  • I'm getting this too, doesn't matter weather have dlss or any other option chosen, also no matter what i set the graphics options to. I drive in cockpit view and it is especially bad in night races where the antena leaves traces really badly and if I look backward the centre of the rear wing leaves a trace about 2 cars long behind it but only if hold that view for a few seconds, if I just quickly look back its OK. I've also noticed that races where it gets dark during the session there is a very strange looking dark mist almost in the distance which when any object moves across that area then the ghost trails are just terrible! I didn't play last years game for more than a few hours as the handling was so bad but f1 20 and 21 never had this issue and oddly is hardly noticable in replays, just when driving in real time. It is very much spoiling the game. Do let us know if you find a fix for this as I've tried all sorts and even disabled motion blur in the game files but still no joy.

  • this problem needs more attention. this "bug" is horrendous and it doesn't seems to be related to the "low fps" during night races in any kind. for me it sets in from one moment to another during sunset. In Bahrain in an 50% race around lap 8 and then it's only getting worse. Especially if you're in cockpit. In some cars the Halo looks practically transparent

I uploaded a short clip on youtube

I tried changing many different graphic options both ingame and through the "hardware_settings_config.xml" nothing changed

We got an answer from one the moderators yesterday on another thread and they said that "graphics issues are being looked into as well"...
