[PC] G923 Workaround for high intensity/noises FFB and Trueforce

 A lot of PC users reports that using Logitech G923 have high intensity with vibrations and noises since patch 1.05
After a lot of testing and sort things out, we can conclude that the implementation of Trueforce (feature that didn't work before the patch) was causing the issue, and no matter what setting is tweaked, Trueforce was working always at 100% of intensity.

Tested Here: Intense vibrations testing and here "Whirring" noise 

The behaviour of the issue: as soon the game launches, it overrides the Trueforce settings of GHUB, making it work always at 100%, without the possibility to tune it down.

Currently, i'm using G-HUB version: 2023.5.418755
Wheel Firmware: 139.1.49

Step 1 - Choose whatever settings you like the most in GHUB. (the image below, shows the settings that i feel most confortable and smooth)

The only things i've changed, is the operating range to 320º (choose whatever range is confortable to you)

Torque at 70

Audio Effects at 20

Step 2 - Launch the game as usual and set all the FFB settings in-game at default values

(you can change the operating range that is more confortable to you)

Step 3 - ALT+TAB to GHub, and change any trueforce value (1 point on torque or audio effects should work). Once you change the value, Ghub seems to take control of Trueforce again, with the settings you have chosen there. (instead of in-game trueforce, that seems to work always at 100%)

Step 4 - ALT+TAB to the game again, and play normally, and you can see that the intensity force of the wheel, and the vibrations (mostly on curbs) matches with the settings you have chosen in GHub.

IMPORTANT: This is not a fix, is just a workaround to moderate Trueforce intensity. YOU ONLY NEED (AND MUST) REPRODUCE STEP 3 EVERYTIME YOU LAUNCH THE GAME

This workaround is tested only on PC, Steam version, and works everytime. Didn't test it on EA App, but should work there too.

    @MershamMania I don't have a xbox (or PS4/5) to test it. Just Pc.
    But there are some things you can test yourself, and see if something changes:

    - Plug the wheel, launch the game, and see how it behaves.
    - Launch the game, and plug the wheel AFTER, and test if something changes.
    - Unplug the wheel while in-game, and re connect it.
    - Reduce the FFB Sliders in-game (One by one) and test it how each of it change the ffb intensity. Set any value to max, test it, and then set it to 1 (not 0).
    - Delete your custom wheel profile (if you have any), and create a new one.

    As far of my knowledge, there isn't any app in the Microsoft store to change any wheel settings

    Those are the things i can think that worth trying. If you find something that can ease the intensity of the wheel, post it here to see if can be helpful to others.

    I experienced this on a logitech G Pro wheel just the other day on a PS5.

    the wheel worked as normal for several timetrial sessions.

    When i started a league race the intense noise started, this lasted for qualification and race.

    After i restart the ps5 and started a new time trial the noise was there for 2 seconds then went away.

    weird that is suddenly came and went.

    Hope this doesn't happen on a big race.

    @Tor_Halvorsen74 There was an update for the wheel firmware last week. (and also g-hub update) for G923 and G Pro.
    I don't know if PS5 can update the wheel firmware from the PS5, but is worth to check it.(i think the firmwares can be only updated on pc, but i'm not sure).

    Also, the FFB have different behaviours if you plug the wheel before launching the game, or after.

    In my specific case, i still have to do this workaround to reduce the intensity properly, and the wheel feels good (even if there's a slider in-game settings to tweak trueforce. If feels weird even with the slider at low values)

    Had the same issue yesturday.

    I have the newest Firmware for my wheel and latest patch for the game.

    I play some rounds of timetrial and everything workes fine.

    Then start a grandprix multiplayer, the second i get on to the track the wheel goes crazy with huge amounts of vibrations.

    I restartet ps5 and wheel (pulled the power plug on wheel) startet a new grandprix multiplayer session and everything worked fine.

    This have yet to happen straight after a restart and i hope that does not happen.

    Hi, I hope this is resolved quickly. I have the exact same issue on the PS5. It's definitely not the controller; I'm certain of that because the time trial indeed works fine, and other racing games too. I hope the solution comes in a new update soon.

    Got a tip to reintall the game.
    so i have deleted game and deleted all game data.

    Lets see if it helps any.
