I too have been a fan of the F1 series since the 90s, I collect these games no matter what, since I love so much the real sport. This is incredible stuff for me, as a kid I was dreaming of playing these sims with a proper wheel, on VR or surrounding screens, but I was very very happy controlling those cars with a stupid keyboard (and we were all very good at it, right???!!! 🙂 ). Now I'm living the dream, wheel + triple-screen + enough realism and immersion, I'm happy. I'm not angry with the devs, they do a very good job overall, I understand the problems and pressure to create this kind of game (in time!), also it's a great thing that we don't have gaps in the F1 timeline anymore (that's important!), I hope they keep creating this game no matter what. I'm happy with the graphics for now, but an upgrade would be nice, of course. I only followed this topic and opened one on my own just because this fullHD replay resolution creates a bit of stress for me when I create content on my channel, I have to come up with other solutions to display the replay and match it with the previous F1 versions... it wastes time editing and it doesn't look ok to have differences between games... I use the entire F1 2010-F1 23 collection for different "stories" on my channel. And I think it's not such a difficult thing to correct a resolution for a game, it feels more like a basic programming thing, a bug/conflict/codec error somewhere... or am I wrong? Something that may be included in their "fixed other minor issues" category, you know?... But, hey... if they didn't do it, what can we do... My other burning desires for the future versions: triple-screen support and perspective correction for the cockpit camera (like AC and ACC) - now we have those crazy distorted side mirrors for example; I'm ok with "F1 World" things IF and ONLY IF they don't interfere with the F1 environment; so complete focus on the F1 sport first (up to date rules, car behavior and levels, reasonably quick updates of the tracks and cars once the real sport is updated, immersion (!!!), maybe realistic pitstops like actually driving the car into the pits, not just an arcade minigame to bring the car for tyre change, laser scanned tracks as standard and so on). I understand that there are kids and people in general that are not really into the real F1 and they just use this game as any other random game, but I think it is important that, considering the entire Esports and FIA/F1 support around the series, they need to fulfill the demands of the passionate F1 players first, bring the game to sim level as a priority (it IS the "official" F1 game, right?!), AND include the "arcade" mode for the rest of the world so everybody can enjoy it, at any level. But when people invest in Fanatecs and Mozas and whatever, and super playseats, and create content at a very high level (sort of a free commercial for the devs in the end!)... you need to respect and address that first! A reminder: many AC mods made by random talented people are dramatically better than the F1 series, to be honest! And that's an old platform already! All passion there!!! And these people are not paid at EA/C level!... So, yeah... back on topic, I will surely keep collecting the F1 series, no question about it, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these games, and I'll always be a fan and devoted client, but I wish they correct and implement these principles starting 2024. And of course correct this strange problem we have here, the display resolution... Come on.......... we're talking about a stupid resolution here... so strange......... Not many other games on the planet today have this silly problem. Much older games are displayed correctly on ultrawide and triple-screen!... Yeah... Ok, that's it for me on this topic, it's a bit late now anyway... waiting patiently for the (corrected) F1 24 game (sim!)...
