Poor connection to other cars in online races

I don’t have this issue with any other game on my PC; I play ACC and iRacing almost daily and have never had a connection issue.

I’ve tried loads of things; re-downloading and verifying files, moving file location, turning off and on cross-play, changing my drivers, using a VPN and lowering game quality but none of those have worked.

Tested my speeds and my downloads is 65 and upload is 20 with a ping of around 8/9.

I have done everything i can with my router and connection but the issue persists. I am fully sure it is a game issue and not a Wi-Fi issue for me as i have no issue connecting to online servers in any other game i own.

VPNs won't work. You say WiFi, so have you tried ethernet? Latency is inherent in WiFi networks.

If you are going to say it's not possible to attach a cable then the router is too far away for WiFi also.

Powerline adapters work for me and are inexpensive (AV1200/1300 are better).

Finally, depending on the location of other players in your game lobby you may still get a poor connection as it's them, especially hosts.

It's not a game issue or everyone would be complaining. (Yes, we all get the odd player with a really poor connection but until the game bans people with connection issues this will persist).

Yeah, I've tried an ethernet cable but no shift. I play on Wi-Fi anyway with all other stuff with no issue so I wouldn't understand why that would shift for a specific game. 

I've been in multiple lobbies with hosts from many different areas but it's always the same issue. Huge lag with every car but when in the lobby, all of my connection bars (expect maybe 1 or 2) are fully green on connection. 

Think i've exhausted all possibilities and nothing seems to point to anything wrong with my own setup or Internet which is why i'm so confused.

Do you run any third party AV or firewall?

I do think personally that the amount of information carried in the net code and over reliance of a good connection to the host and the car in front and behind is partly responsible. However, I aren't responsible for any decisions made in that area so we work with what we have. 

Only other thing is if a general error in your setup is causing this issue for you. Post a dxdiag and I'll take a look.

I just want to add, that I to experience this problem. When I lobby every thing is fine, but once we in game.. as he was saying I don’t experience this in any other games online only F1 23-24
