Ugh) and in the qualy program I couldn't come closer than .521 seconds from the target to even get green yes the other 2 programs I had we're way too easy. In qualy though I just took pole by 1.139 seconds. How do you miss that bug? It clearly needs to be re-balanced to the AI strength or something and I need to up my AI obviously from last year too, but the point is the qualy program is definitely not balanced correctly.

@petro1319 Not sure about 2019 and before, but this issue had existed since F1 2020 for sure. Nothing was touch in this area, always had to lower the difficulty in free practices by at least 5-10 points for them to at least make sense.

@Hennes17121987 I had this same problem in Bahrain. I always set the AI to a low setting so I can ace all of the practice programs for P1. I was 4.5-5 seconds ahead on Race Pace and 3.5-4 seconds for the ERS but barely passed the qualifying sim by 0.04s.

@Apophis-STR Well, you certainly haven't played F1 2020 as much as I have. I was always able to reach at least the green target, and it maybe took one or two more attempts for purple.

Then again, I'm probably playing on a way lower difficulty than you do. But yes, I saw this Qualifying Pace program issue as well in F1 22. I didn't get this in F1 23 yet, but if it's still like that, then I'm certainly not looking forward to it.

@LuckyNico92 While it’s possible that the performance related mods I had might affect that area, I did firmly remember it was the case when I didn’t have them. The difficulty setting was 105-110 depends on track, and in practice it was always at 100 (I did recalled sometimes 100 in FP was a bit too easy but I never bothered changing that habit of always setting it at 100)

yea i have the same problem
its an urealistic Time to beat, 1:40 or a high 1:39 was the time to beat (AI sets a 1:42 pole iirc on 97 difficulty) @ Azerbaijan in my Team Career
i hope they fix it, its sad it looks like the dont play the game (only a Quick Grant Prix it seems)

Yes I also have this. It's been a problem in previous games too but this one seems insane. Just got to Miami and I've easily beaten the race and fuel saving program then got to the quali sim and I failed being 2 seconds slower than target.. estimate starting position 20th. Top of the practice leaderboard.
Skip forward to quali - same average lap and I finish P8. It's definitely broken but might not get a fix for a while.

AI practice time 1:31-1:35 (generic from the first position to last)
All programs, all other programs except qualifying, time to complete more or less 1:35 (quite generous)
Qualif practice program time 1:29:30
Real Qualif Pole position around 1:30:30 (1 full second slower than qualify practice required)
Keep in mind my care has the worst performance level**, so the qualify-practice should try to place me around 15

My Team 490 (as I "no comment" to all updates)
How am I supposed to go 1 second faster than the actual pole position with the worst car in the competition? Please fix it

@Hennes17121987 For me the issue exists since F1 2021.

In F1 2020 I used to set difficulty to 85 in FP and qualification and 90 for race.

In FP since F1 2021 I am unable to get purple even green in the qualification practice.

The target time is completely illogical in comparaison with the qualification time.

For F1 2023 set the difficulty to 80 and the target time at Bahrain in qualification practice is 1:29 where as in qualification the target time to get the pole is 1:31.

No logic at all.

In fact this qualification practice issue made me gave up playing on F1 2021 ans F1 2022.

I almost did the same for F1 2023 and discover that the issue was just on qualification practice.

Codemasters needs to fix this !!!!
