@Jpk123456 There’s also this one/. 2nd gear full throttle over kerb at Imola chicane… No spinny spin spin. Also when your car does step out it’s soooo easy to catch it

Thanks.
I assume you did the beta test....
Thanks for the info, greatly appreciate it.

This one is way too arcady. No diffuser stalling or the rear wheels/suspension can now absorb any surfaces?

well maybe not @Blackbird90, if you look at the official video at around 2:08-2:09 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4mZwIgloeQ), the driver is totally out of line and seems to rejoin beyond the kerb, not to be considered too much imho
a little more significant perhaps in Suzuka (0:28), even if also in this case a little out of line

If you look at this moment at 0.25x speed you can definitely see that the driver was on full throttle while the rear right tyre was still on that sausage kerb. Besides this what real life looked like.
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@Blackbird90 Well i wouldnt be too quick with this.. The Leclerc incident wasnt in ideal dry conditions and you dont know the conditions from the game, could be first lap on those tires, could be using TC (which i think it does).. But i agree that if it was normal mid stint conditions and no TC with normal power deployment it would be too much traction. But we know too little of that specific scenario to judge
- @Meza994 It's not about conditions it's about that this kerb will send you airborne in real life if you ride over it. We'll see but I'm not alone suspicious about the kerbs being visual only.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Blackbird90 My only concern is. Because of last years handling model. The David and the rest of the devs have made this years physics more forgiving all round. To the point like you say it’s to arcade…. However from what I’ve seen so far I’m mightily impressed compared to last year. It’s a huge step forward… Maybe to far forward for some off you with skills who race against other humans. As I do believe the skill gap this year will be tiny. But for those of us who race AI it’s going to be awesome. Especially when the Elitist who shoehorn in every post they race with no assists and blindfolded against 110Ai… Us mere mortals can reply… It’s no big deal so do we. 😂
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@Blackbird90 Well you compare the first kerb with the second one which is also taken at different angles and speed, especially the latter is important, in the trailer the second kerb is taken at 70kph and in the race 2022 it was taken at 105 kph, literally 50% more speed which has a big impact on the forces sending you airborne..
I dont say the kerbs are fine but unless we get some reliable comparisons with equal speed and conditions

What concerns me most currently is the AI seemingly not having proper/equal tyre carcass temperature simulation compared to the player, possibly no relevant changes to career modes and the car peformances being once again just every aspect getting worse the lower the team is in the Constructors standings instead of Ferrari having better mechanical grip than RB, Aston Martin having more downforce than RB, Merc having a slightly better weight distribution, not even starting about tyre heating and tyre wear.. It would just feel very stale again, no fluctuation in performances depending on tracks, conditions, sessions etc.. And a tiny bit worried now that we can just fly over kerbs again lol thanks Blackbird haha
But we dont know yet but the track record of CM for those things isnt the best..
- @Meza994 Last year the AI was shameless for having steady temps all the time, now it seems to have been fixed.
- Meza9943 years agoSeasoned Ace@Blackbird90 Not really.. In the deep dive some scenes are also with fixed tyres temps - 98° for C4 tyres at Interlagos and Spa, not changing at all, 108° on C3 at Miami.. Whats weird is Vegas with 95° temps so maybe there is a little (scripted) development of the temps across a stint?
But yeah on some scenes the temps are changing but i fear those have been player onboards and not AI.. However hopefully im wrong with this! - mikyesposto13 years agoNew Hotshot
The main problem is in the chassis. If the contact physics team lowers the chassis as it was in f1 22, the curbs cannot be taken that way. Hopefully someone will listen to us because it is a serious problem that needs to be solved. Because in addition to being able to jump on the curbs and sausages without problems, everyone will go with soft setups and with a low car. Instead the beauty is if there was more than one choice to make on the setup, so instead it's a disaster, everyone will copy from the time trials and the work done on the physics in 22 will be wasted for nothing
@mikyesposto1I hope there’s a solid reason behind this decision. And I wish we could have the same discussions with David Greco about F1 23 as we did before. 😉

@Blackbird90 @BarryBL did say there will be another Q&A like last year. So we will get to ask. Just won’t be with @DavidGG53 😔
- @Blackbird90 Well, we can always have a chat on the forum. Is open to anyone 🙂
I saw MK video, and he seemed concerned with cutting. It did look a bit too easy on kerbs. All I can say it is very hard to balance it, but I am sure Codies will listen to feedback on this matter, and make some adjustments. - @ScarDuck14 That's really great to hear!
I will have my questions prepared for that Q&A then. 😊

Unfortunately the Deep Dive that was due in conjunction with Imola event has been postponed. A thoughtful move from EA/Codies considering the situation.

I must agree, handling in Beta was really good. Hope it won't change in official release 😋
Although brake bias killed me many times, locking up fronts or rears 😉
Re online/offline: I don't play online often. I am not so competitive that I have to prove myself something 😋
Also, online gamers often play demolition derby and I want to enjoy the game, not taking out other cars. And what's the point in playing for 5 laps when you start from pole?
I'd rather play offline or co-op and be in mid-/end-field team, more fun.
I liked Nicki Shields presenting Formula E but she seems to have disappeared from Jakarta races. Not sure if it is related to Jack Nicholls scandal.
And I also watched W Series, just to avoid usual sausage fest other (moto)sports shows us 😋 If they finally allow women to race in F1, we can replace Nico R or other presenters who can give us "insights" in being F1 driver.

QQ: why do I get more XP for 5lap race in F1 World than for 20lap race in My Team career mode?
