Here's the video. It turns out the game isn't crashing, but the RAM usage is consistently high. At turn 22, the RAM reaches its peak, causing audio issues and lag before slowly decreasing. This pattern repeats continuously.

Update: I allowed the game to launch for a while, and when the RAM reached its peak again, this time the game instantly closed.

With the lack of any desktop startup video, can you follow the instructions for a clean boot?

How is it after the patch?

If there is no clean boot information or further feedback I’ll consider this a dead end and a system configuration error.

I was able to run the new AMD driver without issue but I have not enabled AFMF.

    Thanks.

I attempted a clean boot, but the issue persists. The new AMD driver functions well with other games, and AFMF has not been enabled.

I don't know what the error is, I am out of ideas. I can only suggest you try a clean install of Windows.

Thank you for trying my suggestions and providing the feedback, but it seems anomalous in the extreme. Perhaps a memory leak of some kind. But reinstalling the drivers as advised here on a clean version of Windows may well solve the issue.

Could be there is some remnant file or setting that is incorrect. Good luck.

Thank you for taking the time to help me troubleshoot the problem. However, it seems that a Windows reset is my last option. I might continue playing the game with the issue or consider it a dead end for now.

In another thread another user has tried reverting to 23.11.1 and fixed their crashing RX7600.

Worth a try, DDU first though.

An update: The issue has been resolved by following your advice to revert the driver to version 23.11.1. I appreciate your guidance throughout this process.

I´m using the rx 7600xt and got the exact same problem. Unfortunately it's not possible to revert the driver version to 23.11.1 because my graphics card is released in 2024 and it's only working on version 24.x.x.

Anybody else with the same issue?
