Re: F1 World Goals permanently disabled

After three months of the issue being reported, falsely closed, re-opened, and then falsely reported as addressed, I got sick of it and deleted my local save data.  I was able to unlock the goals and play through them a bit. Then I started up the game again just now, and the goals are locked again.  I literally made it two sessions before the bug reappeared.

So, not only did they not fix the underlying issue, they didn't even resolve whatever triggers it.  I hate being frustrated with devs because I'm a software dev myself, and I understand the pressures of software development and how often users underestimate the effort involved in fixing bugs.  But jeez, as a paying customer who thought he was paying for entertainment, I'm just about done with this whole fiasco of a series.  F1 22 was the first F1 game I bought on release and it was a trainwreck, but I didn't want to write these games off completely.  I'm pretty much at that point now, though.  Life and money are both too short to spend time debugging a game I paid for.

The only reason I can think of to keep the onboarding requirement is if they believe it will help guide the player toward the monetized elements of the game, but I don't think it does that.  This has been affecting some people for three months now.  Are we gonna be able to play the game we bought?

I agree with all that you said and I totally feel you, brother.

I thought about deleting my local data too, but now we know that even doing so won't solve the problem because it will happen out of the blue again - geez!!..

I can only think of three possible reasons as to why this (and so many other) issue(s) in these F1 games (since EA took over) can never be solved:

I - They don't have enough people in all of their departments to take care of all of their games catalog - although that would be 'weird' since they're a big gaming company and they're supposed to have more than enough money to hire as many people as they need (but they're also known for being too greedy, so maybe they have less people than necessary because they want to maximize profit by spending as less as possible, even if some of their games are super problematic and that pisses off their customers - they somehow know we're gonna keep buying their crap anyway)...

II - Their software devs are just not good enough (they're literally bad professionals and just incompetent) and they just can't find what causes the issues, neither how to fix them - which would also be 'weird', once again for the same reason: they're a big video game company and they should be able to hire REALLY good software devs - even some of the regular players here (and modders) seem to understand better how the game files work and how to edit them (fix problems, etc) - but then again, if that's the case, EA is trying to save money by hiring bad devs..

III - A combination of both things.. Maybe they don't have enough people to work on these issues AND they're also just not that good, so.. you have this little mess they call a Tripple A game..

All I know is that us, as players and customers are just sick and tired of paying a pretty good amount of money for bad products - I know these games will never be perfect and a few bugs & glitches here and there are always expected, but their incapability of actually solving these problems (and rarely communicating properly with the player base) is what pisses us off and makes us feel as if they just don't care - at least they don't care enough about us (and about making sure their products are top quality) and also not as much as they should..

I try to be fair to them, but everybody's patience has its limits - mine is gone already with these guys (and these games used to be super ok (not this problematic) before EA took over Codies... there, I said it)...

It’s all of the above, but has little to do with EA (yes i say that😱)

releasing in a broken state, lying, releasing patches that break more and fix nothing, no transparancy towards the community, treating the community like trash, claiming at every release that they listened to the community and putting things like BP in while nowhere near the majority asked for it, and i can keep on going.

these are the trademarks of Codemasters (of disaster)
