Linking my own thread with a similar issue for visibility.
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Bug-Reports/Throttle-Trigger-Vibration-on-Xbox-Series-X-Controller-on-Steam/m-p/12694345#M4319 @EA_rephiiTheres also a bug about the controller's force feedback inconsistency.
Sometimes it disappear completely for ~5 seconds and sometimes it decreases drastically almost not feeling the car or the kerbs at all.
was this already being reported?
- dotazured2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Reviyy Is this specifically related to the Dualsense controller or another controller or wheel? This issue report is regarding the complete lack of vibration/haptics from the Dualsense controller. If your issue is for another controller I think you might be better off making an issue report for it.
@dotazured this happens to my PS5 Controller, the vibration is simply inconsistent and doesn't work properly most of the times. otherwise i apologize 🙏

@ReviyyAre you referring to the triggers vibrating or the handles themselves?
Because the adaptive triggers seem to work as intended or at least be on par with the PS5 version, while the motors/haptic actuators in the handles of the controller doesn't.
Clarification: I am trying to understand which parts that does, and does not work on your controller.
Because it would be quite intriguing if the vibration/haptics in the handles would be working in your case.
- @dotazured i'm talking about the handles
adaptive triggers works fine for me, it's the vibration/rumble in the handles that doesn't work properly, sometimes it just disappears outta nowhere and i can't feel either the kerbs and the car - dotazured2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Reviyy I haven't felt the vibration in the handles whatsoever in the PC versions of F1 22 nor F1 23, so you mean that there's cases were it does actually work? I have tried this on multiple machines with multiple controllers and I am getting the same result.
- @dotazured the handles vibration "work" on F1 22 but you can barely feel it and i was always struggling with it.
in F1 23 the vibration just goes off and on whenever it wants and the car is just unpredictable.
i also tried multiple controllers (my bro's PS5 and my PS4 Controller) and it is the same. - dotazured2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ReviyyYeah, not in my case, no rumble from the handles in either of the games for me, multiple computers and controllers. The only vibration/haptics are from the adaptive triggers. I have played around with different settings and none of the settings make any difference.
The controllers do work as intended when used on console and the PS5 versions of F1 22 and F1 23, so it is not an issue with the controllers themselves.Note that the left trigger might rattle when going over kerbs, but this is not to be confused with the haptic actuators in the handles.
- @dotazured ah, that sucks indeed. Hope there will be a fix ASAP and they don't ignore the problem.
- HonestXO2 years agoSeasoned Novice@EA_rephii Any updates? The patch notes didn't mention controller specific fixes.
- dotazured2 years agoSeasoned Ace@HonestXO This issue does not seem to be mentioned or tracked in the Community-raised issues-post at all.
- HonestXO2 years agoSeasoned Novice@dotazured I remember seeing something like "Force feedback issues across multiple devices" or sth like that, can we hope we are in that group?
☹️ - dotazured2 years agoSeasoned Ace@HonestXO Personally I would probably assume that "force feedback" in this case would be related to wheels and not controllers/gamepads.
if theres gonna be a fix for wheels and not for controllers, it's gonna be frustrating tbh
@EA_rephii any update?
