You’d need to purchase the Season 1 VIP tier and then grind for days to earn enough pitcoin to renew Season 2 VIP. That’s not a solution.
My Team mode has been a copy and paste from last year’s game, except this year, they’ve taken away all the livery options and now you have to buy them!
Aarava recently ran a poll and the results showed that only 6% of the player base are playing F1 World. That’s atrocious and shows what a dead game mode it is, so why does the standard tier of podium pass need to throw F1 world car upgrades at you in overwhelming quantities! Fact is, you don’t need to upgrade your car when the AI is set to 30 and you can’t change it…..This game has removed so many customisable options and forced you to pay for them.
You can grind all 50 levels of podium pass and not get a single helmet or car livery… 👎👎 so the guy that only does myteam content never once had any other type of content made a pool from his viewer that supposedly are mostly interested in myteam content or they would look at other channels with more type of different content from ranked to my world and so on tell us only 6% of his people is interested in my world and we should take him seriously
is like saying I resell icecream cone and I tell you only 6% like icecream cup because in my channel where I only talk about icecream cone a pool show that only 6% would ever eat icecream in a cup
people need to get a clue about how polls should be made. Plus I am sure they have REAL data of how many people use what and we don't have to guess plus they are a business is something is really used by only 6% they won't make the mistake to force it into next year's plan they are not masochist. I really wouldn't trust anything a youtuber tell me he is obviously just pushing his own agenda it's work for him

Because podium pass unlocks are skewed heavily towards F1 world content…. Knowing people like liveries they have now been put in the store to buy. This way it will generate more revenue through micro transactions.. Now we have to buy most liveries rather than unlock multiple ones through podium passes: I’ve made one off the default liveries and outfits work. As much as I like changing them… this year I’m sticking with what I’ve got… I won’t be handling any extra money for what should already be in game
Personally I only play my team but I got to level 50 quickly doing the my team pre race events and got all the skin already
not that I care much I tend to use always the same anyway I would never buy any

Yes, the Podium Pass Content is not really exciting, indeed. Nevertheless, the liveries in game are not very tempting anyway for me.
The unlockable liveries in Event are nice, unfortunately not real of use in myteam as well.
On the other hand, the Audi livery, which came for free is awesome. The fitting suit and helmet had to be aquired seperately.
Let's hope for better Content in the next Podium Pass. In general a proper livery editor with unlockable patterns to use or car slots would be more usable for me.

@ScarDuck14 Same here. Like you I do like to change my liveries, race gear and helmets occasionally - like a 1 off for my home race or for a new season.
The “new” liveries, race suits, helmets and gloves are woeful so far.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but all of the free/included suits and gloves at game launch had these weird shiny sections which just look ridiculous. Have never seen a F1 team (or any racing team for that matter) have shiny race suits or gloves. Normal matte suits and gloves were only available via the store, most of which were simply recycled from last year - so I used some of my pitcoin. Really not happy about that, but had no other option - I just couldn’t live with that shiny crap.
TBH, that cheesed me off even more than them not updating MyTeam. It felt like a proper stitch up.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
😂😂. I thought exactly the same about the shiny suits. What self respecting F1 driver or player would ever wear something so silly looking.
Out of habit I bought podium pass. So now I have a ton of F1 works stuff I’ll never use🙄. Thankfully you do get back 10000 pitcoin from both podium passes so will kind off end up back where I started. With 18000 pre order Coin. Which I can’t argue as EA gifted me champions edition I’m not out of pocket. Just means got to be wise on spending my pitcoin. So will wait and see what liveries and helmets are out in the store over next few months. So I don’t waste them on impulse buys only for one I must have come along that I can’t afford
- Monzstar832 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ScarDuck14 yep, will have a bunch of pitcoin for when something decent (fingers crossed, eventually) comes out.
The other problem is you cannot change colours like before when previewing items. So it really is a gamble to know what you’ll get if you decide to purchase something. I can only wonder if this was a conscious decision.
It’s been a poor showing on the podium pass/ store content front so far.
Its only been one month and they have lot of bugs to fix before thinking to add those type of useless stuff
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@Monzstar83 Unfortunately I think it’s all by design. Anything worth wanting will be only available to buy as individual amazing price off 2000+ 🙄
- SDGMatt2 years agoSeasoned Ace@wildwestcowboy Im exactly the same as you! i bought the standard edition with the 5,000 pitcoin. So not enough to buy the 9,000 VIP pass without having to spend additional money on microtransactions. After paying £69.99 for a standard edition, the notion of having to pay an additional £7 to get access to any of the helmets and liveries is a P*** take!
You can complete all 50 levels of standard tier and get just 2,500 pitcoin and not a single helmet, glove, suit or car livery. STILL not enough to get a VIP tier. After grinding the game to level 50 I think it should grant you a free VIP pass. - SDGMatt2 years agoSeasoned Ace@SDGMatt Anyone noticed that the "Store" now has Weekly and Monthly content instead of last year's Daily and Weekly? More ways to give players less content unless you pay money for it

On the one hand, as I explained, any remotely realistic looking race suit/ gloves were not available for free and needed to be purchased by pitcoin; “suggesting” they want to force users to buy them. That content was available from day 1 and still is. So anyone who would buy something probably has.
Yet, for podium passes and releases to the store, so far they only have horrible looking liveries, suits, helmets and gloves. Nothing remotely realistic looking. So no motivation for anyone to purchase something, on top of the fact it’s now weekly/monthly.
It would make sense if they had crappy gear available for free and then had great looking gear available in store/ podium pass. But no - it just feels like another area that’s been mismanaged.
- @ScarDuck14
A wise use of your pitcoin would be to buy some shirts, headphones and fancy shoes for your guy. It will make you faster. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@EyeHamJuan By lots ?
- matty0blobber2 years agoNew Ace@EyeHamJuan Yeah I bought all the purple clothes, now I get all the purple sectors.
- @ScarDuck14 You won't be able too...
- matty0blobber2 years agoNew AceAnyway, isn't the first season of podium pass typically bad every year?
The original post was comparing an entire games life cycle to one season.
Not defending it by any stretch, just stating that the first seasons in games with content passes always tend to be pretty weak. - matty0blobber2 years agoNew Ace
@SDGMatt'You can grind all 50 levels of podium pass and not get a single helmet or car livery'
well that's a lie cause i've gotten loads from it.By level 20 you get 13 bits of gear and 5000 pitcoin....
- matty0blobber2 years agoNew Ace@wildwestcowboy
I dunno man if we're gonna sit here and cry about content passes we're gonna be here all day, all games do it now.
I'd rather spend £7 on a content pass within a game i play almost every day rather than spending £40-50 on a game i'll probably play once or twice and never boot up again once completed.
Value is based on your time spent within the game honestly. - matty0blobber2 years agoNew Ace
@wildwestcowboyI know just a figure of speech, i see a lot of people complaining about passes in gaming now, thing is they're only 'expensive' if you're not getting your moneys worth from time spent playing.
If you play the game a lot I think they're worth it, but thats me.
- SDGMatt2 years agoSeasoned Ace@matty0blobber It's not a lie, you just didn't read what I wrote mate! Slow down with the replies and take some time to read. You don't have to chirp in on every comment! Talking about the standard tier, not VIP!
Standard only unlocks upgrades for the F1 World Car. VIP unlocks a few helmets and car liveries. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@SDGMatt Previous years I’ve got every VIP podium pass… This year don’t intend on getting any if the content stays as it is
- @SDGMatt You're lucky, I never received my 5,000 pit coin
