@Kuba_HB Yes it’s 100% an issue that Damage system doesn’t activate properly at race starts. So Ai cars don’t receive damage when they have collisions with other cars and environment. So less chance the safety car will come out: i did 2 full seasons on 50% race length. Entire time only one Ai car crashed out with terminal damage. At end of Every race I check race director and pits stops and no Ai car ever pitted for front wing damage. Raised this with developers months ago and was told they couldn’t replicate lack of damage.
So I started testing with damage set to simulation and safety car set to high. I would on purposely crash my car into the Ai and took videos and photos of the lack of damage I and Ai cars would get. The dev team now know it’s a problem. But not confident they will fix it. I then started testing looking for a workaround. And finally found one. You have to have formation lap set on for it to work. Then once race starts restart session as that takes you back to moment the race lights start to count down. Damage will now be on whatever you’ve set it: I recommend simulation as whatever setting reflects both how you and Ai receive damage. Easier they get damage more likely a safety car will need to come out.
Also try not to use flashbacks during race as that may also trigger damage to disable and I can’t be 100% sure as I think that happens randomly. Sometimes flashbacks have no effect other times they do.
Workaround does not work on sprint races.
Thanks to EA they have Also passed on to dev team information off workaround. But like I said don’t expect a fix so unfortunately restarting session is the only thing we can do to make game to work as it should during races
