Yeah, correct, same question every year, same answer every year

Well, some people actually use keyboard controls to race so only having keyboard support is useful for them.
Yeah but usually where there is a keyboard there is a mouse as well. It can't be that difficult to code it in, everyone else manages to for pc released games

I was explaining why it wasn't pointless having only keyboard support, much as I find the idea of driving using a keyboard bizarre! I can see why adding mouse support is very different though since keyboard support just involves defining button mapping whereas adding the sort of mouse support you'd like would require functionality adding to the game: there is no cursor in the game at present or on-screen buttons to mouse-over and click on.
I navigate the game perfectly fine using the buttons on my wheel so whilst I understand PC players wanting mouse support it really isn't necessary.
- zombie1823 years agoSeasoned Veteran@F1Aussie i'm also on the PC, i've never been anywhere else and still can't understand the demand for mouse support. It would be an additional device to reach for, although you could also control with the steering wheel, pretty much every steering wheel has directional pad and at least two buttons to navigate back and forth. a useful and easy to use menu structure would be much better and more important.

It is hardly something that needs to be reached for, it is just as close as steering wheel. For those that don't want to use mouse that is fine. I just cannot see why it can't be an option when 99% of pc games offer it for navigation. It is just easy, we use it to navigate our desktops and programs, just don't see why it can't be an option here

Easy fix then, they just need to add a cursor. I guess I am in the minority so will just ignore this title yet again and get my F1 fix from my sims that all offer mouse navigation. Such is life, can't have everything you want.
@F1Aussie, you (and I) may be in the minority here, but I see tons of people asking for mouse UI support on various forums. And I fully agree with you. There should be mouse UI support on a game like this.
I wouldn't be here moaning aboout it if the keyboard was quick and easy to use. It isn't. It's very slow and cumbersome actually. With a mouse it would be swish-click, swish-click. Super fast!
It's also a bit hilarious to see people defending it not being in the game and actually arguing against it, lol. Why? Why do you have a problem with a feature that is supported in (I'm guessing) 99.9% of all PC games? We just want the game to be better and easier to use. That's a good thing right?
Now, lack of mouse support won't stop me from getting the game, but it's getting a bit silly at this point.

Am also a PC user that has wondered why there is no mouse support...Have asked several times if it was to be implemented in the old codemasters forums but never got a reply..
Not too fussed now, not bought anything after F1 2020 until i see major changes in the game

I have no problem with a mouse support, I just think it's more important that the game gets a better and simpler menu structure again, where settings are in a list and not divided into tiles, where it seems that a tile is always in a different place and you have to search for it each time.
