@Ultrasonic_77 I’m going to counter your point with my own experience woth the game, I play on Series X with a Thrustmaster TS-XW on firmware 8.07 in a nice ventilated room with AC on, ambient temperature around 19 Celsius, 66F if I’m not mistaken, the Fan is always on at full speed, overall FFB 75% in the control panel and 50% in the game, so there isn’t a single question of overheating on my part, I play full 2 hour races and my longest session in F1 22 was 7 hours or so, with no loss or fade to the FFB at all.
In F1 23 on the other hand, after 1 hour and 40 minutes on just staying in the game, not gameplay, if I stay 1 hour and 35 minutes on the start screen then go into any game mode, after 5 minute the FFB cuts out completly, I could be mid corner, with the wheel having a heavy feeling then all off a sudden it goes numb, like I just unplugged it and ZERO resistance by the base.
I have to quit the game and boot back up or unplug/reconnect the wheel for the FFB to come back on, but after another 1 hour and 40
minute it will cut out again, regardless if I play the game or just sit in the menus.
Just for reference I’m tested the wheel in Forza M7, 3 hours long endurance race with FFB at 65% in game, no fade, no cut, ZERO ISSUES.
There are multiple people on here that have reported the issue, most on Thrustmaster wheels, but I’ve seen some on Logitech and Fanatec, and a lot seem to be on Xbox, but PC and PS seem to be affected, that can’t be a wheel issue.
Mods have been blaming firmware being out of date or overheating issues, but clearly in my case that isn’t the cause and I’m 100% sure this isn’t the case for anyone reporting this issues, please pass this along to the devs, this is an issue with the game not the wheels or end user error, this needs to be fixed ASAP.
Thank you!
