Traction or lack of with controller in slow speed corners

I have tried absolutely everything to try and dial this out. When exiting slow corners with a controller mainly when applying a high amount of lock I can not prevent the rear tyres from spinning.

I have tried lots of different calibration settings with the throttle application with the sensitivity/linearity on the full setting.

I have also got the rear tyres and suspension on the absolute softest setting along with the rear ARB.

Anyone else experienced the same thing? Some examples are most slow corners at Baku and especially turn 1-2 at Bahrain and trying to get on the power out of turn 10 at Bahrain.

I have even tried a big disparity between the front wing and rear wing with as much as +10 more on the rear wing.

I think the new handling model is generally excellent but I do feel getting good traction from the rear is poor on the slowest corners.

Additionally I have also tried it with full TC on and it’s still slipping from the rear! That should not really happen!

At a bit of a loss.

Hey racers

The team has investigated this issue extensively and they haven't found any unusual behavior in slow corners. They've tried to push the Traction control to it's limits based on your provided footage and settings, but they weren't able to find any unusual handling behavior.

@IanM282 I've been playing with a controller due to the wheel bugs and I can confirm that this happens even with full TC. It's not dramatic with full TC (in fact I quite like it to add some spice to the race) but it is a bit awkward to lose the rear that often with the controller in full TC.

I cannot confirm it's on all modes but in Braking Point is definitely happening to me.

@RVladimiro Thanks for your feedback, it’s not just me then. Surely with full TC on this should not be happening. It’s almost impossible to get any decent traction especially at the likes of Baku. Really spoiling it all for me.

@IanM282 When you say your spinning are you talking about spinning the car or just tires?

If just tires nothing you mention in your setup affects this except linearity.
Something in your setup is WAY off and my thinking is brake bias but without seeing it Im guessing

@IanM282 I have the exact same on controller. I use Full TC and at Baku every corner loses the back end.

I was in P1 doing my race strategy on mediums and it took 4 laps to get 100% tyre wear which is bizzare

@BadMayh3m I'm playing Braking Point not messing with any setups or controller configuration and there's rear wheel spin in slow corners. I always caught it easily, in fact, it's an odd one, to be honest. It's not wheel spin in the sense of the well-known oversteer but more like the car wants to keep turning, sort of a lag.

@IanM282 No not just you. I just rage quit at Bahrain. I’ve tried pretty much every also. It’s not so much the wheels spinning. For me it’s turning in tight corners the car carries on rotating, sometimes I think I’ve cracked it. First I thought increasing steering speed was working at I could open the steering quicker that worked for a couple off corners so I then tried reducing steering speed and that also worked for a couple off corners. Tried tc and all that did is over rotate the car without rear wheels spinning. 😂😂.

@BadMayh3m Thats one thing that might work, also what David suggested - running higher negative camber has helped me with accelerating with steering lock at low speed like Canada

@BadMayh3m Thank you for your input. I’ve been setting up F1 cars for over 25 years with various games including Geoff Crammonds GP series as well as F1 games from Codemasters.

This is without doubt an issue with the throttle mapping. For example in wet on intermediate tyres I have absolutely no rear limitations whatsoever and that’s with a more aggressive rear end suspension setting.

This has absolutely nothing to do with setup and everything to do with the throttle mapping in dry conditions.

Same problem here, I played on controller and in low speed corners traction is pretty bad, I hope EA will fix this
