I have been unable to find a fix even trying all the suggested ones. But today I have finally found a fix for me. It’s the usual way from the past couple of years but I had to unfortunately delete the old two player career, but before I started another one, I went to F1 World > Play > Multiplayer Grand Prix > Create > No ( open ) > settings > lobby settings > change the cars from f1 world to 2023 > simulation settings > equal performance OFF
Then back out all the way to the main menu and create a new two player career but make sure to skip the invite a friend bit, you can do that after you’ve finished setting up the career. I also turned crossplay off, can’t confirm this mattered but hopefully not as a lot of people are playing cross platform.
Silly to have to do but nothing else worked for me till I did this.
I think its still bugged even when it says Equal performance Off after the workaround.
I tested that with a friend
i drove the alfa romeo and he drove the williams
bahrein 90 ai
i drove 1:31:112
he drove 1:33:233
in time trial i drove 1:30.006 and he 1:30.126
I think the Equal performance is still ON for the HOST but not for the other Player

That’s interesting, for me it seems to have equal performance off for both me and my friend, at least most of the time, I’m racing for McLaren he’s Alpha Tauri and our times are extremely close and also the cars you’d expect to be top 10 are all top 10 bar the odd one, Logan Sergeant seems to be consistently in top 10, Norris occasionally too. So maybe there’s some inconsistency. Gonna keep a better track of it now.
we did the race now and i had no problems catching EVERYONE up
i was on hards and all others on softs.
there is deffinatly a bug that gives me "equal car performance" and my friend "realistic car performance"
