- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned Hotshotbased on the photos in the last comment
1 - the first photo shows me finishing a full 30min Qualy in bahrem I did just one lap and accelerated the time to finish the Qualy so you can see in the photo the wear of my tires at the end of the lap
2 - second photo shows the main strategy that all drivers go to sprint
3 - in the third photo it shows the wear of the tires when I finished the sprint in case the new tires
4- the fourth photo shows the default strategy of all drivers for the main race
5 - and this fifth photo shows the beginning of the main race with the tires that were supposed to be from Qualy that were supposed to be at 9% according to the first photo in case they are adding it because it was 9% now and for the race he got 41% this is definitely wrong because in Qualy with this tire I only spent 9% of it
6 - and in this sixth and last photo I stopped already on the second lap to change these first soft tires and put the other soft ones that I had used in the Sprint and they had the wear that we had left in the Sprint, it had the right wear and tear but the tire of the main strategy, which is the tire we used in the qualy was not with the right wear.
with that reported I suppose that the Qualy tire we use adds 35% to 40% of wear to it even though we don't spend all that, if we use the soft Qualy tire to do 3 laps in Qualy it gets 100% worn , if we do just one lap it gets half worn out because doing three laps it will have more wear and even with the addition of wear it is 100% there if you do one lap only in Qualy and it wears out little and with the addition of wear it has half of its useful life so the game is adding wear to the tire we use in the qualy when we use it for the feature race this only when we did a full 30 minute Qualy Ofcourse, it's about the tires. If you use your tires more than the fuel is given in practice and qualifying, then you wont have enough tire life for the feature race.
I assume this is a formula 2 ruleset.
Drivers are simply studying videos of the track as far as I know, or do simulations, in preperation, in real life f2.
But if this is indeed a bug, and f2 feature races give option for two completely new tire sets in real life, then I misunderstood. Then we have a bug indeed.
tire rules in f1 are constantly changing. And there are more changes planned for future f1 already.
- Meza9942 years agoSeasoned Ace@ivun3 Ok im not sure i understood you 100%..
What i said is that IRL they sometimes do longer stints than 6 laps in practice in one go or 5 laps in qualifying in one go or even more in wet quali so there would be a higher limit but even searching for anything fuel related in the actual regulations there is no maximum limit for fuel in F2.
The part with tyre used in practice is irrelevant as there is one tyre specifically for practice (although they sometimes do a lap on others too). It depends on when they use what tyre when, there was actually a case last year iirc in spain Prema only used one set of their option tyres to have one fresh set for the feature race + the fresh set of prime tyres.
IMO its not a bug that we cant put more fuel in bad another bad design, there are several designs in the game that are meant to simplify things but in reality they make it just unnecessary unrealistic. Ok.... this is very strange...
Today on silverstone feature race, I got 2 brand new 0 degredation tires, hard and soft for the entire race.
Im not sure what the rules are anymore... Or if this is a bug or just different rules for different tracks?
Or did they fix the bug if it was a bug at all?
Im not sure anymore. Isn't it mandatory in full f2 career to use practice and quali tires in feature race? Because that was the case for me in the first few races of full f2 career. But now on silver stone it seems I saved my practice and qualifying tires for nothing. Because I got new tires in both sprint and feature race.
I'm completely confused now.
What is going on? Is there a bug that only occurs on certain tracks? Or does every track have a different ruleset for tire usage?
Or was all f2 career bugged and now fixed? Or is it a bug that simply sometimes doesnt occur?

@ivun3F2 and the game in general is very bugged + the game doesnt follow every rule from real life, be it F1 or F2
But to give you a little insight, by the actual rules you can use whatever tyre you want whenever you want in real F2. In the game the rules usually are that you can only use 1 tyre in practice and 1 tyre in qualifying, however as F2 in the game is so badly replicated i never tested thoroughly if the tyres used in practice are returned to Pirelli.. The qualifying tyre you can definitely keep for both races.
I found the tire rules for f2, 5 dry weather and 3 wet tires.
TYRE ALLOCATION
The sporting regulations state that each driver will be allocated five sets of dry-weather tyres per weekend. They will have three “prime” specification sets and two of the “option” specification. Each driver will also be provided with three sets of wet-weather tyres.
The game doesn't make that clear.
In silverstone I used 1 hard tire for practice, 1 soft tire for qualifying, (I used them very little, thinking I had to re use them, 5 laps on the hard tire in practice and 2 flying laps in qualifying on the soft tires), and then used 1 hard tire for the entire sprint race. So 3 tires used. And 2 tires left for feature race; hard and soft.
I don't remember why I had slightly worn tires in first few feature races of the full f2 career.
- Meza9942 years agoSeasoned Ace@ivun3 Its because the tyres from qualifying and sprint can be reused in the feature race, prime from sprint makes no sense but in theory you can which is realistic
So there is no bug?
- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned HotshotYou only sprint with the hard tires if you put long or full sprint. the average race of 35% it uses the new soft tire for the Sprint and for the feature race we use the soft tire used in the qualy but no matter how much you save the soft tire of the Qualy it will always come more worn out than you he left. (Example if you do two laps in full Qualy in bahrem for example, it doesn't matter what track it is, if you left the soft tire of Qualy in 20% of wear in the Freature Race it appears with more damage)
