Ultra-High Audio Quality Simulation

Hello,

I’ve looked all over the internet but I’ve been unable to find any info on the PC requirements for this setting in F1 23. There’s an in game warning about high CPU usage potentially causing audio cut outs, but it’s pretty vague. Does this require a CPU with 6 cores for example? Can the recommended CPU run this setting without issue? Anybody, especially developers, have any additional info?

Thanks!

Can you post the source of the feature please?

It’s located in the Audio settings in game, but online I found this post from EA for F1 22 that says basically the same thing:

    .

I would say that you should have PC specs towards or in excess of the Recommended Specification.

    https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/f1/f1-23/pc-system-requirements

With most things on PC, the general specification of the system will determine how well the game may run (and obviously the user settings).

As DirectX compatible sound is all the developer specifies then the less the sound device relies on CPU power for audio processing the better.

Use a hardware comparison chart to see how your CPU stacks up against the AMD/Intel recommended spec.

But the game is GPU limited, so your GPU (and settings) will determine how idle or stressed the CPU is.

Short answer is you just have to toggle the setting and see if it works without detriment. I can't say I've ever had any desire to enhance the audio (possibly placebo anyway) except given the comments of some users about faithfulness to the actual cars and power plants used.

One thing I will add is that many users with esoteric audio equipment have issues with it and particularly with Bluetooth and multiple audio outputs and sources. Ensure everything is updated; particularly mainboards and device firmware. If you have specific drivers, use them. Post a dxdiag if you are having issues.

    Or....toggle the setting back 😇

So....I used the setting and....could not tell the difference. 🥳

Realtek OB (DCH), HyperX Cloud (wired).
