Unobtainable Qually times in practice

I am getting seriously frustrated with the qually sim practice. The times it's asking us to get are far beyond what we can get without lowering the difficulty a lot. It's asking me to get a time that will be in the top 11 but the times it's asking is far too fast for P11. I did the qually sim failed to get a  "P15" time but went into qually and set a P6. I know I am not explaining it correctly but I think the qually practice is broken. And even Alex Gillion says the same thing. Anyone else agree?
