Updating Logitech G920?

Hi all

not sure this is the correct sub-forum, if not feel free to move the post!

About 3 yrs ago I bought my Logitech G920 second hand. I only use it on my Xbox (old one, think it’s a One), but saw somewhere some firmware(?) on the wheel might need updating. I have never plugged the G920 into anything else but my Xbox and it has always worked fine on F1 20, 21 and 22. I saw on the technical forum EA and Logitech are talking to each other as there are some issues in F1 23 with mainly 923s. But my 920 also lost FFB after playing for about 2 hr today and yesterday. Closing the game and restarting it has so far solved the issue.

I have an ancient laptop, works nicely if I pet it now and then and it runs on coal I think, Win 10 OS. Can I just plug the G920 into the laptop and then download the required drivers/firmware updates? Has anyone here any experience with this sort of thing? I tried to Google it, but soooo many things pop up, and I have no clue what is relevant and what is not. If nothing needs to be done, then I am happy. Don’t want to start all sorts of stuff and then ruin the thing and not be able to try to beat Max and Mr Butler 😋

As always, grateful for any help.

cheers, P

  • @peter75pc Although it is unlikely the problem you are experiencing is caused by firmware, it's never a bad idea to keep your wheel's firmware up to date. You can do it on an old laptop, I personally have done it on an old laptop too.

What you'll need is to install GHub from Logitech, connect your wheel, click the little cog symbol and the software will tell you if there are updates for your specific hardware. It's really quite simple.

You can find GHub here: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/innovation/g-hub.html

@RVladimiro Brilliant! Thank you. I’ll have a look in the next few days. Once the laptop has been updated… 🤪
I don’t think my problem is specific to my wheel, but more related to the other bugs that have been reported.

Can this be done similar on a PC or Mac?
