Upshift issue

Check the in-game assist level and that you are using manual gearbox not automatic. Auto will let you downshift, so this sounds likely.
I have the same issue with upshifting, my gearbox is on manual and yet it doesnt work. I tried different buttons to see if there was something wrong but neither of them work.
Try toggling the overall difficulty and the auto - manual in the mappings.
Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and verify Steam files, perform housekeeping on consoles. Try different USB ports and remove other controllers when using a wheel.
I tried to toggle the settings, when switching menus the paddle shifter works it’s just when driving that it does not shift up, I have it in manual and it does not shift up still, I hope it’s not the rig since it’s fresh out of the shelves not even a month use

There is still no indication of the platform you are playing on. G29 is PS/PC.
