Wheel and pedal VS. Controller

Question

I don't think wheel and pedal players should be allowed to race against those of use stuck with a controller in ranked racing, many people have proven wheel and pedals are by default faster than racing on a controller so why are we forced to suffer racing in ranked against wheel and pedals people who have far greater car control than controller players, therefore i think the ranked racing needs a change, if it detects you using wheel and pedals you should be put into a lobby with only wheel and pedal drivers instead of a mix, it makes it unbelievably unfair for those of us who cant afford a decent wheel and pedal setup

@DeadlyV69 Because it’s hard enough to find full lobbies as it is. If they split us up. You’ll end up with races with half full.

Yes we are handicapped against wheel users. But you’ll also get wheel users crying that controllers are OP because they and their ultimate high end rig that costs thousands got beat by a pad player.

End of the day can have the best sim rig in the world doesn’t automatically make a bad player with more money than sense any good.

thats not true at all. there are very bad players on a wheel and there are also very good players on pad. in our league the 2 fastest people are on pad, and they belong to the fastest players on the entire platform. So generally it is not a factual statement to say wheels are by default better.

but even if they were, why suprised. its a racing game. but as it is, lucky for pad users. the game is optimized for a controller. there will still always be tracks that are somewaht easier or better with a wheel, such as monaco or so, but any time you can achieve with a wheel you can also get it with a pad. and to this day tire wear is less on a pad, and traction is better. Yes, its not as OP as it used to be until 2021 when pads where fastly superior under traction but you still get the advantage, while wheels bring most of the benefits in quick direction changes.

BUT right now might be the worst time to complain about wheels as the game has as many issues as never before with all sorts of wheels. Logitech users dont get TrueForce, which is substantial. Thrustmasters have random loss of force feedback. all that since release. and this is and should be the real issue. the amount of players i know that still cant really play the game since release because it screws their FFB is insane.

On F1 2021 a controller had worse tyre wear due to tyre temps being too high, especially the fronts. &nbsp;

@DeadlyV69 there are good players and there are not so good players and that doesn't have so much to do with the input device.
I know many controller players who are just as good or even faster than players with steering wheel, ultimately it is up to the skills of the player and also the talent to adapt to the game.

This can be frustrating at times, but that's the way it is.
