@Kwik2finishMany of us having exactly the same problem. The lazy response we got from EA was to update firmware, but I expect you’ve done this - and it doesn’t fix the problem anyway. Your verdict is the same as mine - it’s the game - and unlike EA you have actually tested it in a smart way. We did a race with virtually no FFB to prove its not overheating - and the same random loss of FFB happened after around an hour, just like you experienced. Why would anyone think it’s the wheel when it works perfectly well on other games including F1 ‘22? Perhaps if they were told it’s their job to deflect blame away from EA. Tonight my friend and I are going to try reloading the game after each race - similar to your quick fix.
@timinator2014 I feel your frustration. It's extremely upsetting that this issue is still ongoing. I was hoping it was going to be fixed in the first patch but apparently that wasn't the case. Like yourself, I have kept my wheel updated with the latest firmware and the issue is still present. I have noticed, on this forum at least, that this problem seems to mostly affect console players. I am going to download the 5 hour trial of F1 23 on my pc today to test if my wheel will still loose force feedback. I'll report back once I have the time to run the test.
While us players may be able to find "quick fixes" for this issue, I really hope EA and Codemasters can deliver a permanent fix quickly.
