Xbox Series X or PS5?

Where does the game play better?... Wondering about the + and - of each console for this game—if anybody has any thoughts they'd like to share?

  • @TheseusJason I’ve been on codemasters and now EA forums Since release off F1 21. Both consoles have had their issues with the F1 games but PS5 seems to have less performance and stability issues. Have no idea as to why🤷🏻‍♂️.

Since we with silly badges are all ganging up on here, I might as well give my two cents.

Unreliable, personal impression with no way to rule out the possibility of a heavy confirmation bias: Playstation seems to suffer with way fewer issues than Xbox. I'd say the same for ACC.

Not sure it’s still the same.  As patches now drop on all platforms at same time.  But back when I was a COD4 and BC2 sweat.  Any patches or updates used to drop on Xbox first.   Would only be by a few days at most.   Apparently this was because Sony wouldn’t let developers patch games until they were happy patches and updates were properly tested. Where Microsoft were not overly fussed.  I mean they pretty much invented patching.

Obviously not like the good old days.  But  I’m guessing Sony bar is still alittle higher. As a general observation it always seems games on Xbox have more issues when it comes to performance and stability

@Ultrasonic_77 thank you very much for your thoughts, as well as @ScarDuck14 and @mariohomoh.

I don't have a wheel unfort., I'm a casual player. I remember Geoff Crammond's F1GP back in the days and since then I've mostly been a 'Battlefield' franchise player. I played F1 22 on the PS5 and now F1 23 on the Xbox Series X with the 5-hr free trial.

It feels to me (purely emotional feeling...) more enjoyable on the XSX, despite the adaptive triggers of the PS5. Am I hallucinating?... I understand it's not a completely like-for-like comparison as it's also last year's version against this years.

Ultimately, why I'm asking this is to compare the experts' opinion on which platform's version to shell out €65 on...

@TheseusJason honestly? The first one to cut the price on a sale 🤷

At this point we're splitting hairs here. And I wouldn't shell out 60-70 on this game before reading the Technical Issues board and making sure that I have a low probability of finding any of those (un)popular issues.

@TheseusJason This year the game has had a massive Improvement in the cars handling. It’s the one thing that’s epically good this year.

@TheseusJason I think another argument for the PS5 could be, if you are interested in VR.
First I wanted to buy an Xbox sieres X because I thought playing XBOX could make me more available for coop games (especially if Friends only have PC).

But relating to F1, I decided to buy a PS5 because in the nearer future I expect to have VR only on PS5. Microsoft don't invest much money and time in VR and F1 in VR is an absolutly dream. Sadly this year it is not involed but in the nearer future Codemasters will implement VR for consoles and I think the PS5 with PSVR2 is the console to have then.
