So, I still went ahead and bought it, I didn't get the discount at the end of the payment
However, I did receive the new deliveries in F1 23, which shows it was indeed linked to my account
And I contacted support via chat through the refund department and in response, I got:
"I have checked the details and according to that, it seems you are eligible for the 15% discount however we do not have any official tool or sources to grant it manually so it is my humble request from you to wait for some time and reach us back after and I am sure till then we must have something to fix the issue for you."
Then, "Please do not worry it will be fixed in the meantime."
So, in short, either you wait to see if the bug is fixed, or if you do like me, maybe it will be resolved after but no certainty (but in any case, you will indeed get the benefits in F1 23 if you have bought F1 23 and F1 24 on EA).
My advice is to wait. Trying to get refunds from any company is rarely a fun experience.
also there’s really not any reason to hurry up and preorder. All your getting access to is a couple of liveries for time trial mode for a game that you won’t be playing in 2 months anyway.
TLDR wait for the full reveal in April and see if F1 24 is even worth the upgrade in the first place.
