Career mode AI difficulty all over the place

Yep I've noticed this being a big problem. I think there's some kind of bug in career mode, as the difficulty is quite a bit lower. Then on top of that like you've said, the variance between tracks is a bit crazy. One race you'll be easily 10 places ahead of another.

I wish someone would explain to me why ya would set up your AI by your teammate.

If you make them as fast as you then the higher up cars will be SuperFast and when they get updates then Look Out! Then the complaints happen....the AI is to fast in a straight line and the AI is to fast in the Wet etc etc.

Be willing to bet most calculations are based off even cars because the updates add another variable.

I believe this problem has been in the F1 games for a long time. The first game I actually got was 2020, even though I played 2018 and 2019, but if I recall 2020 already had this problem. And from than it's always have been here.

Of course, we all have tracks we are better and worse, but the problem is not only between different races. I would be ok to have a list, like I had in 2020 where I would test every track and have a specific AI level. In 23 I never had much of a problem because I could keep up with the 110 AI every race, but this year it's impossible. Not because the AI is different for every track, but because it is different from quali to race. Quali I can easily be with a higher AI, but come the race, it's impossible. Probably because of the ERS usage and the straight line speed they have.

Not sure if 18 and 19 had this problem, but when I played F1 2013, the difficulty was way more stabilized, you only had 5 different difficulties and I didn't had to change it between races.  

This was an issue in F1 23 as well, but the inconsistency between tracks is worse in this one.  I'm guessing it's because of all the ERS updates.  But regardless, the fact that Grand Prix mode has more consistent AI than the Career mode (which was the highlight of the updates to F1 24) several months after launch is just sad.

Dont forget though that in real f1 there is a wide range of performance for drivers. At random,  for example  Gasly has qualified as high as 7 and as low as 20th on pace. Checo has won and now struggles to be in the top 10. Given the tight field,  how well you nail a set up for a track, your natural ability differences between tracks, how good you are in dry/damp/wet conditions and variable car levels with upgrades, you should expect a fair amount of variability naturally. For me Ive founfd 90 seems to be a good level and my pace shifts between bottom end  of top ten to  last row but usually around 12th-13th and close to my team mate. I lnow where your coming from - chasing ai level is frustrating and breaks the immersion. All im saying is try and keep it stable and accept varience. It makes the came more enjoyable and its not unrealistic.

- Another stat is Tsunoda has been as high as 7 and as low as 18 for both race and qualy, Albon was 18th in miami race then 9th in Monaco the following race.
