Does this mean they qualify in a time more generally representative of their overall pace? does this mean they are quicker? Do they now use overtake mode in qualy?

@Darthsausage44 @DRudd13 well, according to my experience so far (GP mode 100% length), it looks I’m bit faster in Quali rather than Race pace compared with the (same) AI level. so I welcome this change from which I expect AI better performance in qualifying keeping the same level in the race. We'll find out how much faster it will be, I'll do some tests, if it were 2-3 tenths it would be perfect for me 🙂
PS: ‘hotlap’ + some clicks ‘overtake’ in the right points look good player side (in Q), but I still have few experience in F1 24, also ‘medium’ + some clicks ‘overtake’ may be good, maybe depending on track, tbc
My thought exactly. Although qualy does seem easier compared to race so I think this will just balance the ai pace better
