And this strange behavior was supposed to be corrected with patch 1.6. But nothing has changed. And that's where I see the problem... Did EA not feel like doing it? Or did they forget?

Abysmal patch notes as per usual it seems now for this game, still no mention of not being able to use #1 in driver career for players or the fact that DRIVERS DO NOT RETIRE in driver career mode.
