Community Manager@Douglas673 Yes, I've discussed this with some other users and unfortunately it does indeed appear to be a bug. Anytime you don't set the fastest lap yourself, the game will default to penalizing your pace stat as if you were 4 seconds off the fastest lap. I've already escalated the issue so hopefully they will start looking into it as soon as possible.
Not sure if it's a placebo effect but I still perceive Grand Prix mode more "racey" and aggressive compared to career mode. Might be track based too. But in Bahrain career I found them reluctant to pass me.
Happy to see AI occasionally locking up or running wide also in career mode, please do not water it down, for the sake of offline players like me...
