Nice spread there, but 1st i dont know how much this was also happening on that track in 1.6 as the ERS usage changes they made before might be more effective on tracks with more big traction zones like Bahrain and Cota
2nd i tested it with less great results till halfway through lap 9 with still 2 big groups and 3 cars outside (i used Zhou to not interfere at all with the AI) so im definitely not saying its fixed, some changes made in previous fixes will likely have helped in certain situations but its far from realistic behaviour on average
Would be possible to view the 'historical' Time Trial leaderboards in RaceNet again, as it was in the past?
There was a switch 'release date to date X' - 'date X to current date' etc.

Theres no dirty air for the AI at all. This game is an absolute joke, honestly. Fix the AI already - make them smarter and better.

With 1.7 TT leaderboards have been reset but on RaceNet there are still the old laptimes
handling using a wheel (fanatec dd+) seems a bit improved to me w 1.7 so while I appreciate pad users frustration don’t want a wholesale revert to 1.6 for both
