@Meza994I have established in F1 Manager 24 that a bona fide driver like Verstappen can make the absolute worst car in the grid score a point or two, and that's fine with me.
But when your car is clearly better than anyone else and you're not winning several times in a row like last year, you don't deserve a super high pace rating. Verstappen in the best car plus with the highest pace rating is basically F1 2021 all over again, and you know how OP he was in said game.
If this was F1 23, where the Red Bull and Verstappen were far above everyone in real life, I would understand what you mean. But ever since Silverstone 2024, Verstappen hasn't won one time while McLaren storm their way to the front.
Heck, I would even dare to say that even Oscar Piastri needs to have more pace than Verstappen has. That man is a machine. ❤️

They should just buff the McLaren ingame and then its more realistic but as they dont like differing between race pace and quali pace, tyre temps for AI and such we wont get realistic results anyway- Nuvolarix10 months agoSeasoned Ace
Honestly I wish a future overhaul of the rating system...
- Racecraft (RAC) in the sense "based on their ability to finish the race higher than where they started" means nothing. A driver can be fast in Quali achieving a starting position higher than his car should do, and then necessarily lose positions in a race. And vice versa. Some comparisons between team mates do not look good. Sometimes it is not possible to use the numbers just taken as they are...
- Pace (PAC) should be divided into Race and Qualifying Pace. Think for example to Sergio Perez, often in trouble in Q but usually with better pace in R.
This just to say a couple of stuff. I would also add a track related 'number' since both cars and drivers usually perform better in some tracks, this may also help to properly shuffle the field.
I would love a more in-depth topic, if there was any intention to work on it...
