@roberto9663No I haven't tested medium TC as yet. I was mainly referring to too much grip from the front end. For me it initially felt like too much grip and front end downforce. However after more extensive testing I'm now not so sure?
I think because the steering inputs are completely out of sync to what the car is doing and turn in was so sharp and responsive, I felt like there was too much downforce. But I've now discovered a load of understeer mid corner, so not so sure now.
The steering definitely requires some rebalancing.
Full TC for me is now perfect on controller and back to how it was in 22 and 21.
I spent some time testing changes to the steering lock and linearity. Bumping up the linearity seems reduces sensitivity in the middle and helps with the initial false feeling of grip leading to understeer in a corner. While I feel like I have improved the feel, I haven't found a setting I'm completely happy with yet.
I also feel like I have to brake a little sooner than I did in 23 just to avoid the understeer and get on the power at the apex.

@HansenhausAgreed, the steering inputs are miles away from being anything but compliant.
I too am also experimenting with the steering rate, lock and linearity.- contitego2 years agoRising Traveler
i set my steering linearity to 40, steering rate to 160, and steering saturation is 50.
Might be too sensitive for some.

Okay, I feel with some extensive testing today I now have a really good feeling with the handling model. I think my mistake was to use very stiff ARB both front and rear as this seemed initially the way to go looking at the at the TT leaderboards.
However for me using a controller I simply found the input and sensitivity way too much. By having the ARB so stiff gave me a really twitchy front end followed by some instability with the rear and a lot of mid corner understeer.
Playing round with car setups a good starting point on the ARB setup for me was 13 front and 9 rear. This at least for me almost eliminates that horrid sensitivity of the initial turn in. It just feels so much better. Not sure it's faster, but it definitely has improved my enjoyment by a huge amount.
By running with the ARB around 13 front and 9 rear makes it feel much closer to F123 than ever before.
I've also tried some testing with steering lock and steering rate.
I'm happy with the steering rate at around 90 to 100. I have the steering linearity at 0 and steering lock at 320 for now.
For me at least this is a massive improvement. May not suit everyone, but I can definitely work with this.
