The front end turn in feels reasonable still but feels more lazy like F1 23, A halfway point between release and now without the launch need for speed style drifting would fabulous so the car doesn't as heavy.
The curbs feel like they want to kill you again, the over rotation when on even a flat curb is too extreme.
Rear traction feels really loose again like F1 23, acceleration out of 3rd and 4th gear low/mid speed corners spin the car very easily. These were a lot more stable with better drive ability pre patch.

@EA_Vendcera Curious - given that Max Verstappen played a role in the new handling model - if he was asked about the change/patch or had a chance to review it. I would be much more interested in his take than a YouTuber or an esports participant.
- Hansenhaus2 years agoNew Veteran@dwin20 Funny thing happened on Max's first flying lap in FP3 today. He missed the final chicane and said on the radio the steering feels really weird all weekend. So maybe the game is more accurate then we realize. LOL.
Jokes aside, since the only thing mentioned about Max's involvement was just a sentence or two I don't think there will be any videos or articles with his thoughts on the handling made public.

Tested the patch with my go to track, Bahrain with 100AI. I had a setup that was really good pre patch. It was very low wings which kept me competitive on the straights. Post patch, this setup was worthless. I had terrible traction and was easily spinning the car in 3rd gear. The revs would climb slowly then suddenly explode and spin the car. Turn 2 and 3 the front end felt like it had zero connection to the track and was floating. I was constantly spinning when just changing to 3rd gear at turn 2. I was getting so frustrated!
Raised the wings until the traction improved and made a few other minor adjustments. It felt a lot better. However, my straight line speed was crap and the AI was killing me there. I had to set the brake bias to 59 to stop the back end from spinning around under heavy braking. I was in the 54-56 range before the patch. So maybe setups will have to change a bit to compensate for the updated handling.
At the moment I am mostly displeased with how easily the car is spinning in 3rd gear. Even when the wheel is straight. I can't get on the power like I did pre patch. Feels a lot like F1 22 did and that was not enjoyable.

Not liking the updated handling at all. Traction out of slow corners is terrible. This makes F1 22 look good.
