I’m not sure this is the right topic as the subject is still 1.6, however I have played 1.7 this morning, my feedback (Monza TT - steering wheel):
- laptimes should be further couple of tenths slower than 1.6 (I guess depending on track);
- this looks because of less strong front of the car, using the same setup I feel the car understeering, not easy to compensate elsewhere with the setup;
- finally tyre pressure isn’t useless anymore (high pressure is not the best choice), and this is maybe the reason of the previous point;
- braking looks more predictable (already in 1.6);
- it looks easier to get close to the limit (already in 1.6).
In general I think the direction is the right one. Nevertheless, as I written somewhere else I think, now it’s maybe time for a bit of handling stability, to find the references for championships etc. 🙂
PS: about the continuous improvement I’m clearly ‘thumb up’ but maybe now it should be done in selected groups, not worldwide. Don’t know I’m just brainstorming… 🙂
i feel handling w the wheel (fanatec DD+) has improved a bit w the 1.7 patch - mid corner medium and higher speeds especially

Is anyone else having next to no tire degradation? The track I was doing was Jeddah , the car was the Ferrari.
- 7 months ago@starkiller68282 How much tyre wear after how many laps at what race distance (100%/50%)? Jeddah is a low tyre wear track in theory
- 7 months ago@Meza994 I don't remember, I just woke up, but can confirm degradation is much higher at Bahrain than Jeddah.

I dont think so, with the same wheel btw. Had much more grip before the patch.
Rain is now so incredible hard to drive, much harder than before the 1.6 Patch. You just dont have much controll over the car, it is unpredictable.
