@hassan8486Funny you should say that. Few weeks back I installed PC2 back on to my PS5. Haven’t played it in ages. But despite the game running as smooth as silk and still graphically holds up. After a few hours I deleted it again. Will say F1 24 handling isn’t as bad. But yes both have a very similar feel.
I don’t like saying Casey has don’t a terrible job. He has big shoes to feel taking over from David who knows what kind of feel we want in the handling. Having designed every year’s handling since 2015 I think. Even he doesn’t always get it right. 22 for instance I believe he was heavily influenced by what E-Sports Aliens wanted. So made it extremely challenging for us mortals. While he was working on F1 23 he had his own Q&A thread that he was ever present discussing and getting feedback from everyone. He’s also a top 0.1% sim racer. Which I think in alot of ways gives him an advantages over Casey. Although I don’t doubt Casey can race with the best. He’s very much an engineer.
But what I raised with David is on his worst day he’s still better than the average player and doesn’t know what’s it’s like to be average playing on a controller. So I posted a few very long posts about issues we average controller players have. He was happy to chat about it. Just before F1 23 beta I got a DM from him says he thinks I’ll be pleasantly surprised. And honestly it felt like F1 23 pad handling was made specifically for me. I loved it. And added to that I now consider him a friend we chat pretty much every other day He’s one off very few who laughs at my jokes 😂
But yes the handling sucks: But if there’s blame to be made. I think it’s with Codemasters. If Casey primary focus is engineering witchcraft. They should have had a elite sim racers working side by side with him. Just as it is in real F1 engineers design and set up car using their mega brains. But it’s then the drivers that test how it performs. Reports back what feels wrong or right and Engineer makes necessary adjustments etc. from a few posts I’ve seen I think Casey designed and tested the majority of it himself.
My only criticism of Casey is that rather than just add a few of his great ideas to F1 23 handling. As with all us men. We believe we can do it better and maybe tried to change to much to soon🤷🏻♂️
