Agree w his take that VR in general is as much the issue as well as Sony’s current strategy. The discounts will juice some sales, and some 3rd party stuff may keep some interest.
But yeah for VR, corporate gaming spreadsheet dev accounting likley won’t add up at the moment when the whole industry is a bit stressed. And that model is getting tired even for flat games so its a bit self reinforcing (however I do still wonder why EA/CM bothered w VR for the PC versions of F1 and WRC given cost/pain vs payback)
The must have VR experience is still elusive i guess for the larger audience but driving/racing is one for me w so much added immersion
