@Cpayne32 I imagine the number of PSVR2 players buying F124 if it supported the headset would be a fair bit higher than that. Certainly at least 100,000 if you align it to number of RE4 remake players playing that game in VR. I imagine there is less uptake of individual horror games in VR, firstly because they are scary as hell on VR (from personal opinion) and secondly because there is a large selection of games like that already. F124 only has GT7 to compete against and F124 would offer something very different with it having real life drivers and a proper real life championship to take part in with actual qualifying and standing grid starts.
Just looking on the comments for F124 on EA F1 twitter (sorry, X), the most requested things appear to be better graphics, more realism with the physics, better helmet design and PSVR2 support. There is a target audience of 1.3 million PSVR2 users (maybe more) if they add the support. Those are not small numbers. Now is a better time than any with GT7 being the only racing game available for it currently.
Personally, I think F1 game sales would have a better chance of improving by adding a feature that is actually adding something significant to the game rather than adding features like "improved handling" which are purely subjective and seems to be a thing that is added every year. I keep seeing comments that the game hasn't really changed since 2020 (some even saying since 2016) and that year on year sales are in the decline. Think they're missing a trick here to be honest and seem happy enough to offer the bare minimum with their annual updates.
Out of interest, what is needed to improve the career mode? I've not played an F1 game since 2020 and would only play career mode, but I don't know what more I'd personally want from it. Seemed to have a lot to do in it back in 2020 and didn't really have any complaints about it myself back then. I would definitely want to do the podium ceremony on PSVR2 though. That would be awesome. Is that in there on PC VR?
