@Xepheldor if you're friends with them you could just look them up on RaceNet... this is if your only goal is to obtain their TT times. I don't think UDP needs to be updated, but I wouldn't mind an API for connecting to RaceNet to grab data from there. That would be awesome!

@TTV-ADHawkinsGHfrom what I've seen, in regular/non-sprint weekends, the RACE value (15) is sent for the GP. In sprint weekends, for sprint race the RACE value (15) is sent and for the GP, the RACE2 value (16) is sent. IMO there should be a separate/unique value for sprint race

@FILaps The only changes between the v25 and v27 doc were a few small corrections to data types, there were no additions other than adding/updating all the constants.

The issue here is that most likely the receiving end is not accepting (or allowing) UDP traffic on that port. So you need to make sure the port is open on the receiving end's firewall. VPN tunnels like Hamachi just make it easy to connect, as with them you don't need to tweak firewalls etc.I have tested the UDP feed (actually real saved F1 2020 UDP feed) from one AWS instance to another (one in Europe, one in Asia) and it worked with no VPN tunneling.If you really want to setup the Playstation to use some VPN tunneling, you need more exotic router at home, where you put the Playstation on a VLAN, which uses Hamachi (or other VPN tunnel) to send traffic out, but I don't think that is worth the effort here as most likely you need to buy a new router, which allows you to do this.So in short, it should work. F1® 24 sees the following changes to the UDP specification:
Adding simulation/rules options to the session packet
Event type added to show details of safety car events
Show online names and Your Telemetry settings added to online lobby packet
F1 World Tech level added to lobby and participants packets
Added minute part to car in front and leader’s deltas in lap packet
Renamed MS and Minute items to include the word part to make it clearer
Changed formula list received in session packet
Final Classification packets now get sent every five seconds on the results screen in case they
were missed initially
Added Time Trial packet to give more specialised information when in that game mode
Added plank height data to the Motion Ex packet
Added suspension roll angle to the Motion Ex packet
Inter-car collision event added
Weekend structure added to session packet
Increased the size of the weather forecast array from 56 to 64 in order to accommodate new
sprint weekends with more sessions
Added speed trap details to lap packet for all cars in case any speed trap events are missed
Added chassis yaw to Motion Ex packet to be able to work out amount of slide
Added engine braking parameter to car setups packet
Added track sector 2 & 3 distances to session data so marshal zone matching is easier

It's probably a bit late to ask for any changes but would it be possible (maybe for next iteration of the game) to also include some packets to easily fetch all friend times in time trial ?
I'm in different leagues and I use an app to post time trials in a specific discord channel but to update these times I need to create a time trial session and select all friend one by one as a rival so that it appears in Participant / Lap packets.
Reading about the new TimeTrial packet I may change my app to use this one instead of a combination of Participant and Lap but as I understand I'll still need to do the "select everyone as a rival" thing.
Thank you very much for this btw, it's really awesome to be able to get data from the game that easily 🙂 !
