Codemasters TeamHi folks, is there any way to see the delta of the current lap (in other words, the green/red delta time that can be seen on the drivers steering wheel). I want to add current lap time estimate to my UI, and I'm looking for this data point. Upon searching for the word "delta" in the spec, all I see are
deltaToCarInFront deltaToRaceLeader in Lap Data Packet
m_lapDeltaTime in TyreSetData struct
Can anyone please help me find the correct field for this? Or does it even exist?
If you want the exact time, you'll probably have to do, what used to have to be done to work out the delta from the car in front.
Split the track up into percentage parts and store each time the driver, ghost and rival pass those points, then work out the delta from that.
e.g. Rival past 50% mark at 60 seconds.
You past the 50% mark at 62 seconds, Your delta behind them is 2 seconds.
You'll have to do the check when each of the 3 drivers passes a point, rather than just you, so you can see positive deltas.
Thanks for the response. I have been really struggling with reaching the bottom of this thread in this new forum. Yeah I thought of the approach you mentioned and it did not seem worth the effort to implement this feature like this. I hope they add this data point to the telemetry spec in the upcoming since. The game already has this data as can be seen on the steering wheel in cockpit cam. Why not just export it
